Hosts were very friendly and provided a very good breakfast at requested time. Quiet location. Facility is in the process of being updated and will be fine when done. Not much in the area to do.
George and Tina are great folks. We felt as if we were part of the family. We especially loved their stories. Ask about their experience with the brown bear and moose in their yard. They are really funny. Clean rooms, good local food and location. Located in the country but close to town and other points of interest. We only stayed 1 night (early August 2017) but wish we had more time. We will stay again next time we travel to Alaska.
George and Tina are outstanding hosts-they know Alaska and go above and beyond sharing their knowledge. Hearty, delicious breakfast provided, along with great conversation. House is beautiful, clean and property is beautiful to sit outside and enjoy.
We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Blonde Bear. Tina pointed out wildlife areas for us to photograph. The home was clean and the breakfast too rate.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Very inviting and friendly owners. Sat and talked with them for a couple of hours. We missed breakfast but it was much more than a continental breakfast. Nice and well kept grounds. The décor inside and out was amazing. If I return to that part of Alaska, I will book a room there.
Tina and George were WONDERFUL hosts! They were very welcoming and helped us with things to do in Kenai! Their home is very relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast, cooked by George, was great!
First evening showed up to a fire in the fire pit and had a great conversation with two other guests. The owner had many home made items to try like jelly and wine. Really enjoyed the whole experience.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful B&B. Tina and George were phenomenal hosts. The place was incredible and we loved sitting around the campfire and meeting the other guests. Breakfast was fabulous and they were so so friendly. We will be back in the future.
Blonde Bear B&B was a wonderful experience. They have built a Great B&B/home. We felt totally at home and comfortable; the evening visiting around the campfire with a glass of wine was a slice of heaven 🍷😎
I stayed at this bed and breakfast for a fishing trip. It was the only room that I could find that was near Kenai. The owners of this property were very friendly and the other guests were great. Breakfast was quite good. Everyone liked to tell stories about their fishing excursions, especially over a few beers at the end of the day. My room was nice but small and I had to share the bathroom with other guests. This property was not near where I needed to be but my choices were very limited.
This was my first time staying at a B&B and I enjoyed it! The location was beautiful and quite convenient to several places of interest. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable about the area. I will definitely stay here again!
We found the Blonde Bear B&B to be very clean and welcoming. Our room had an ensuite bath which was very convenient. The furnishings were nice and the place feels new and comfortable. Bath and bed linens were top notch. It is located about 7 or 8 miles outside of Kenai which may or may not appeal to some guests. Our room faced a road that had a little bit of traffic on it. As it was summer and we had the window open for fresh air, there were a few brief times where the road noise was a bit much (some teenagers racing on ATV's at 11:00 pm). But overall I would gladly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Kenai.
