「This was the first time in a location with no staff to interact with. The room was clean and the other quests at the location were very friendly. The bed in our room was to die for, so comfortable. It's like a B&B but it's just a B, your have to make your own breakfast. 」

「What a wonderful spot the Shaker Bear Cottage is!! We were in New London for a Colby Sawyer college reunion, and this was the most perfect place to stay. Our hosts Tom and Kem are wonderful, and their cottage is so lovely—-spotless, well appointed with anything we would need (kitchen, bathrooms) and was tradition New England decor. We loved our visit!!!」

「Very clean and easy to “self check in”. It is a nice setting too. We felt safe. The bed, for me was very hard and the pillows were more like morning pancakes. The pillows really need to be replaced. I did not sleep well. Over all a nice place. 」

「We enjoyed our stay. Being only 15 minutes from places to eat, we had total privacy and quiet. The surrounding forest and nearby river are great and make you feel like you have escaped somewhere. Plenty of room for a family of four with a loft and a private room. Living space was nicely setup. If you want to prep your own meals during a stay, this place has all that you would need. I also understand not serving food right now- however to expect guests to not eat in the comfort of their own rooms and expecting them to eat out in a common area but not serving food is a little hypocritical to be honest. 「My family really enjoyed this Lake House. The beautiful views of the lake were breathtaking. The house had everything we needed for preparing meals. The kitchen was functional and generally well equipped. The beds in the house were particularly comfortable. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the deck with perfect views of the lake. The location was great. Lots of wonderful hiking trials in close proximity. My only suggestion to the owners is to give the house a good deep cleaning. Nonetheless,...
