Brook Rd Inn was such a sweet little place to visit. It was rustic, clean, and it had the feel of a youth hostel ambience and atmosphere. We enjoyed our 12 hour stay very much, and I would definitely return.

Gave me a little sore throat and mild congestion because of the dust in the atmosphere of my bedroom but overall clean and neat environment. When stepping out of the room the smell of the furniture was be noticed as being a bit antique on the cheaper rooms. But regardless of that, everything was absolutely beautiful thank you! I liked longing on the couch down the stairs even took a nap. Really nice view outside and environment to be in.

I was expecting minimal amenities, but i was sold on the glowing reviews of the homey kitchen available for guest use. However, when i arrived, i found that the 3 kitchen sinks had out of order signs on them. One sink had even been plugged with spray foam. There were multiple signs saying we should use paper and plastic dinnerware. I'm not sure how i'm supposed to fry an egg using paper and plastic. It is so frustrating when these new management companies take advantage of glowing reviews left when small operators put in the time and care to maintain facilities, then jack up the prices and let the amenities fail. Its a bait and switch. Aside from the kitchen, the room (red, white and blue room) was adequate, but it smelled strongly of toilet, the most recent paint job left mystery fixtures on the walls, and the bathroom fan rattles very loudly.

No on-site staff but we had everything we needed and the common area was fantastic. Walls are a little thin (it’s a very old building) but most guests were very quiet. Less than 10 minutes from Sunapee ski area! Will definitely stay here again.

Very clean room. Extremely comfortable bed. Cozy Hostel like feel to the Inn. Easy check in with code at door. Accessible parking. Overall great stay for a night sleep.

The location was absolutely beautiful. And the rooms were fine- small, but totally fine and clean. That said, a few things to point out. 1. TV in the room... but it didn't work 2. AC was on, and there was a big sign that said, " Contact maintenance. " When you called, the voicemail said "someone has access to this phone all day"... and the vmail box is full! So, we changed it ourselves to heat. 3. The locks on the doors didn't really work; we had to really work them. We thought we were locked out twice and had no one to call. 4. There's a kitchen, but you can't use the sinks because the drains don't work. It said to use plastic cups for HOT coffee! 5. Fire place in the main floor didn't work. So, while it was clean, and the rooms were fine. I would highly encourage the manager to 1. Cleanout the voicemail or just answer the phone! Second, maybe fix a few things in the property. Would I go back? No!

The room was very clean and our bathroom was amazing! You cannot have food in your room and there isn’t a tv or anything in there. I didn’t see any staff at the place. It wasn’t explained to me how to get into the place very well at all so it took us a few minutes to figure it out and we felt kind of foolish. It was fine if you just wanted a place to sleep for the night but we probably wouldn’t go back.
