"It was very clean. The room and facilities were beautifully kept and very new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However we were surprised at the extra charges for two futons for our children at ¥3000 a piece as well as the ¥3000 late arrival fee, which made it much more expensive than we originally thought. "The facilty is old & the room smelled of cigarettes, but everything else was wonderful. If looking for authentic Japanese experience (for the working and middle class Japanese) this is a very good experience. Dinner and breakfast buffet was really good. However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area. "

"客室の古さも感じました。 宿泊者特典もあったが、全て終了時間が早かった。 (カラオケ1時間無料とあるが 、21時までとか)。チェックイン15時からの時間でないと取れない。 フロントスタッフが笑いながら、私達に説明している姿に腹が立ちそうになりました。 また、お風呂入替え制でしたが、女性風呂時間に男性が入っていた。スタッフが注意をしてくれたが、そもそも、わかるようにインフォメーションしてほしい。 夕食バイキングでしたが、食材盛り皿の回りが、落ちていても気にならないスタッフでした。雄山閣は人には進めないと思いました。"

"膝が悪いので、エレベーター近くのお部屋はありがたかったです。お部屋にもよるのでしょうが、トイレの段差がありやや狭い印象でした。大浴場へも入れ替え制になっていますが、どちらも階段昇降が必要なので、足腰の弱い方は少し難かもしれません。 スタッフの方は対応も良く頑張りを感じました。しかしフロント内で2人おしゃべりをしていて挨拶なしの方がいたのは残念でした。お客が通れば声掛けしなくても会釈をするだけで好印象なのですが、他のスタッフが頑張っているのに残念です。"

"This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Free shuttle service available too to pick up from/drop off to Kagaonsen station. Thumb up!"

"ネットや施設情報では21時30分まで夕食時間と書いており、２０時５分に着くと予約状況で営業時間を早めたと言われ２０時までで食べれなかった。予約状況等で営業時間が変わるなら前日までに何かしら連絡が欲しかった。常識的に１時間３０分も一方的にに早めるのは異常だと思う。勧められた店に家族４人自費で食べに行き、しっかりと夕食付きのプラン料金取るなんて詐欺だと思った。"
