"Nice rustic place. We normally stay in 4 and 5 * hotels and this was not that but it was a cool little spot for what the town is. It’s remote with not a lot of choices. The room was clean and if we can’t get a room in the park again when we’re there next, we will try to stay here again. "

Joshua and Geneva made sure we were able to get situated fine as well as took the time to give us an excellent rundown on all that was available to do. Such great personalities. Staying at this house really was like being invited to a close relatives house who provides everything and then goes on vacation leaving the place cleaned up and ready for you. Of we had an extra day we would have just had a day where we hung around the house. It really is that great. If we make it back to Big Island the ln we will be staying here again and of course recommending to anyone else we find out is going there."

"Hapuu room is a magical and very cozy spot with an intimate view into giant ferns and forest. The other guests in adjacent cabinswere very charming. We were all checking in at dark in heavy rain — note, the driveway is dark driveway and coming from Hilo and Jade Street, it is technically the second last on the right from the Ruby Street end of Second Street (the last driveway is a yard) — we were bumbling around but eventually took a dive and walked down into the dark and it was the right place — a beautiful spot. "
