「We were there during the busiest weekend in Newport. It was the weekend of the boat show and the food and wine festival. On top of that, there were weddings left and right so lodging rates were sky high. The Hamilton Hoppin House was a good deal compared to other lodging options in the general vicinity. 「The girl at check-in was very rude. She directed us to a dining room to sit for 15 minutes before attending to us. No drink offered or anything after traveling all day. Her answers to our questions were short and acted like she just didn't want to be bothered. She directed us to 2 different rooms and when I acted confused by her directions, she rolled her eyes and said that she would just show us the way. It was a very uncomfortable experience. 「We truly enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Inn. The Inn and our room were beautiful, clean and cozy. Liz was super friendly and helpful, and no details were missed. We enjoyed the daily breakfast, snacks, boardgames, and hot tea in the afternoon! Close walking distance to the wharf - but im assuming the Hilltop name was a nod to thier location - it's uphill from the Wharf! Would highly recommend!」
