"Hot water was lacking, so if you like cold morning showers you'll be right at home. $57/day for valet is nonsense. $25 dollars to rent a movie I should be able to access from my netflix account is absurd. Charges to my bill b/c a sensor in the room was triggered when a beverage or snack from the minibar was moved is a great way to generate revenue without an expense. Thankfully I looked at my bill and remove ~$100 in charges. There were smells like a gas station bathroom in different areas of the hotel. Not everywhere, but I'm guessing it's related to the suffering sewage/utilities in downtown NOLA. Upon arrival the valet didn't even offer to help with bags. Not a big deal for me, but an offer would have been appreciated and shown a level of service appropriate for a Waldorf Astoria property."

"Overpriced, dirty, and rude staff avoid Paid a premium for three nights and got a run-down room with a side of contempt. We arrived during the French Quarter Festival a major annual event the hotel knew was happening to find every street to the property closed. Spent over an hour driving in circles until a police officer helped us through. No heads-up from the hotel, no guidance for guests using valet. Front desk shrugged and offered two drink vouchers. The room was worse: peeling wallpaper in multiple spots, long hairs in the bathroom, and dried snot on the shower curtain. I called to report it and was told they'd "already given me drink vouchers" and I "should be happy with what I got." I never cared about the drinks I wanted a clean room. When I asked to speak to a manager, the front desk blocked the escalation. Overcharged, wrong room, filthy bathroom, rude staff. There are far better places in the Quarter for the money. Stay anywhere else."

"Location is very good. Room was not ready at 4 pm and we had to wait a half hour. Noted several other parties were in lobby waiting for their rooms as well. Parking is valet only at $47/day. Staff not helpful in ID'ing alternative parking but there are many lots nearby at varying cost. We fount one for $22/day close by. Rooms are pretty basic, but clean. Beds comfortable. Omissions included soap/soapdish missing in one room; no detergent for the dishwasher; glass shelf half-hanging off the bathroom wall; many dents on fridge door, incomplete odd numbers of utensils - we had two teaspoons for 3 people)(A damage list should be provided for guests to note pre-existing damage.) Only one bath towel per guest was provided for a week stay. Breakfast was well done and breakfast staff were friendly. WiFi was weak and spotty at times. A decent value. "
