Mouse droppings
My family was extremely disappointed with the rental, and particularly, the service from the host, Georgia Cabins For You. We checked in later in the evening and noticed that the cabin could have been cleaner, but we didn’t have time to do a full inspection. The following morning, we noticed mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets and drawers, in pots and pans and on the silverware. A bagged loaf of bread that we had just bought was chewed into as well. We called first thing in the morning but was told that we couldn’t move cabins due to availability or get money back because they have 24 hours to rectify the situation. 24 hours came and went and nobody came to clean or exterminate. We had no choice but to check out from this health hazard of a cabin. The host refused to give any refund or discount for our nights that we stayed and wouldn’t even refund the cleaning fee. They graciously “allowed” us not to have to stay the 2 more nights we were planning as our vacation. The manager actually accused us of letting the mice in, in spite of the fact that we found a mouse trap in the cabin from before we checked in. Just a gross situation that should have been handled with much better customer service. Definitely beware renting this cabin and/or working with Georgia Cabins For You.
