"Perfect quiet solitude is what we hoped for and received it beyond measure. The bed was the most comfortable sleeping experience I’ve had in years. As someone with severe back issues I always worry when we book a vacation. I didn’t need to worry at all. I haven’t slept this much in years. The icing on the cake was watching the meteor shower during its peak on the night of the 12th. With zero light pollution the night sky didn’t disappoint. It was an easy walk on the trail to the river. We saw an osprey in flight going down the river twice. We had on two occasions twin fawns with their momma visit the front grass area. Bird song all day was the only noise. Our host was so quick with reply’s it was almost instantly. The house/cabin was adorable. It was very clean and had everything we could need. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and were able to completely relax. We had a wonderful time just doing nothing. This exceeded all of our expectations for a much needed vacation from our busy lives. There were plenty of things to do in the area only a quick drive from the property. Whether you wanted to go hiking, kayaking, wine tasting, try craft beer, or hit the distilleries, it all is just a few minutes from the property. Thank you for providing us with the perfect relaxing vacation we so desperately needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent the property again."

"A cozy little cabin in a beautiful setting, with all the amenities you need. The back porch provides a clear view of the mountains, and hiking trails are just across the road. It's very private, and if you want, it's a short drive to Walton's Mountain and The Walton's Museum, which is definitely worth checking out."

"For the last ten years we have traveled to Appomattox for a family reunion and each year we have stayed at the Appomattox Inn every year has been great, breakfast is delicious, pool is cool and clean, rooms are great and the staff is the icing on the cake. See ya next year."

"My husband and I stayed for three nights at Longacre. The owner is very kind. The house is spacious, but I did find it to be a little dated. We stayed in the manor room which was very big but seems like it was decorated from the early 90s. Also, there was no option to lower the temperature in the room, so I had to use a fan from the closet to try to cool the room down. The grounds behind the house are beautiful and peaceful."

"This house was truly incredible. It was every thing that was described and more. The beds were very comfortable. The pool and hottub were used nonstop. The lake was so fun for kayaking and fishing. There were also so many hiking trails, easy ones for everyone, and challenging ones for the more athletic. We had a great time!! We would definitely return! "

"House was great for our family vacation. An actual million dollar view. Family had a wonderful week enjoying the surrounding area with hiking, fishing and local distilleries.House is very well appointed and our host Aubrey was excellent with communication before and during our trip. One tip- Definitely suggest bringing as much food supply as possible to save some driving time to store."

"This place is the definition of charm! We felt like we were in an old movie based in the 1700 / 1800s. The staff were very cool and accommodating as well! We walked to and from the Inn to the nearby Pippin Hill Winery next door a couple times which was convenient, and a very pretty walk ( about 15 minutes or so to the winery building ) the breakfast in the morning was so good, especially one morning when Gracie and the team made fresh French toast with homemade whip cream, thick cut bacon, eggs made to order, fresh fruit, and the coffee was superb. The surrounding beauty of the property, the gardens, and the inn itself were so charming and stunning. Go see and feed the chickens too! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!"

"Great place to relax and get away. The babbling river was very peaceful. A lot of outdoor activities. The place has everything you need. And they welcomed us with a dozen fresh eggs and local ice cream! Our pup enjoyed as well.Definitely recommend."
