  • Young Red Colobus Monkey. Day trips to Jozani are very straight forward. In Stone Town, tours can be booked at the old fort. November is storm season, but it is also Spring here, so there are lots of young creatures around. You have to take a local guide from the Forest information centre and you get walked through the forest. This is not a bad thing, as there are a load of side paths and no signage, so I think getting lost would be pretty straight forward. The other good thing about a network of guides on the ground, is that they find the monkeys easily, meaning you get to spend more time with them, rather than looking for them.

There is nothing to fault. Staff were amazing, food was delicious. The hotel was tranquil and very restorative. The beach was beautiful. All amenities were great, but the staff, they stood out, they were truly wonderful. Thank you to everyone.

Little piece of paradise

I loved my stay from start to finish. The staff was amazing and so welcoming I felt like a princess. Communication was easy with WhatsApp and that made everything even more effortles. They made my stay so comfortable that I really was sad to leave. This place truly is a little piece of paradise. The beach is really beautiful and even though the tides are pretty strong you can swim when the tide is high in the morning. The food at the restaurant was really good, and everything was made with such care that every plate was beautiful and tasty. Only problem I had was that sound proofing in the rooms was not the best, so if you are a light sleeper I would recommend some earplugs just in case.

Very beautiful and relaxed place

We’ve just had the most amazing holiday at Sharazad Oasis Retreat, and we cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and pampered by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, I had sprained my leg, but the staff went above and beyond to assist us – including offering a late check-out so we could make the most of our stay. The hotel is absolutely stunning, located right on the beach with breathtaking views. The beach is beautiful and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The restaurant serves good food – both lunch and dinner were wonderful, and the included breakfast was varied, delicious, and filled with fresh ingredients. The hotel is well-maintained, and with three great pools, there’s always a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. You can truly feel the love and care that has been put into this place, both in the level of service and in the attention to detail throughout the hotel. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Amazing place in Zanzibar

Hotel is fantastic , absolutely 5 star hotel in Jambiani. The concept , the managers, foods oh my god food everything was amazing . If we come again in zanzibar we will definetely stay in Sharazad Villa again.

Chambre sur la plage superbe. Très belle vue . Quelques petits restaurants autour 4 jolies piscines où les singes viennent jouer de temps en temps. Restauration excellente. Mooi en rustig hotel direct aan het strand. Mooie, schone kamers welke dagelijks (er goed) schoongemaakt wordt. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Restaurant is goed maar niet echt vegan friendly ookal wordt dat wel aangegeven op de kaart. Prijzen komen niet overeen met wat staat vermeld op hun menukaart.

Nous avions une bonne chambre dans cet hôtel au charme un peu décati avec logements espacés sur une vaste portion de plage : cela donne l’impression que l’hôtel n’est pas plein. Personnel extrêmement agréable et prévenant. Très belle plage de sable blanc se découvrant à marée basse. Seul petit problème : le système écolo de chauffage d’eau ne fournit pas d’eau chaude le matin !

By far my favorite

Such a beautiful property. So many privat spots all on their property. The whole hotel is about ecologically friendly design with much love for details. The staff is very knowledgeable, genuine and friendly. Food was excellent. There are two restaurants to choose from one being Vietnamese. They have two spas and a variety of fitness classes, yoga and a jungle gym. I would recommend it to everyone to stay there for a few days.

Piccolo resort per chi cerca la pace a Zanzibar

Non sono un'amante dei grandi alberghi o delle catene, quindi per noi questo piccolo resort si è rivelato la scelta perfetta: poche camere, direttamente sulla spiaggia di Jambiani, ottimo ristorante e parecchia privacy. Le camere sono abbastanza spaziose, non lussuose ma confortevoli, in tipico stile locale. 2 piscine, bar, spiaggia con lettini e per nulla affollata, personale molto gentile. Il ristorante si è rivelato una splendida sorpresa, con un menù standard e un menù giornaliero che proponeva ogni giorno diverse nuove pietanze: carne, pesce, vegetariano, cucina locale e internazionale. Prezzi ok, dai 15.000 ai 42.000 TZS per un piatto principale. Due sole pecche: la Spa eccessivamente cara e il fatto che non sempre ci fosse a disposizione l'acqua calda nelle docce.

Très bel établissement, personnel et managers très sympathiques à l'écoute et qui font leur possible pour rendre le séjour agréable. La chambre est très propre, jolie et bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel, le meilleur que j'ai vu. Vous avez un buffet à votre disposition, ainsi qu'une carte de plats chauds et une carte de plats du jour. Vous pouvez avoir un petit déjeuner différent chaque jour avec des plats frais et bons. Le restaurant est très bon également avec un rapport qualité prix, tout à fait convenable. Le seul petit point négatif, est le fait que le petit coin ne soit pas séparé par une porte par rapport à la chambre et que la chambre dispose d'ouverture sur l'extérieur (grille d'aération) limitant un peu l'intimité. Globalement, c'est un excellent établissement que nous recommandons sans réserve. J'espère y retourner bientôt. ☺

Best stay in Jambiani

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. The location, room and beach are just stunning and exceeded our expectations. We like exploring and trying different places while on holiday, however we returned to Sharazād for dinner most days as their food and cocktails were just the best - especially when it comes to vegetarian options. Variety of breakfast and lunch/dinner changed daily, so we were spoilt with choices. Staff was helpful and approachable at all times and we felt very well looked after. Hoping to return to Sharazād Villas very soon.
