Noisy room...
Noisy room, the traffic can hear .... Rooms is just ok. The room is not big as normal standees double, very small, difficult for u to our your luggage.
Quite a nice hotel to stay but the location is a major put off. went out on 5 occasions and each time returning to the hotel will be a major problem for the taxi drivers to find. Even if being shown their hotel namecard with address printed, all the taxi drivers still need assistance from nearby residence to locate it. Believe it or not, due to the heavy traffic there, i was once in a taxi for almost 2 hours trying to find my way back. Hotel not recommended for foreigners.
The hotel appears modern and clean, but I found cockroaches in the room and tap water was not clean. Wireless network worked fine in the lobby, but did not work in the room. Located in a unpleasant area.
Staying at this hotel was nice.
The room was clean.Security is good.
But location is incovenient.
Many taxi driver didn't know where Royal City was. So I got trouble in going to this hotel.
And there is no transjakalta's busstop and railway station. If any,bus rarely come.
So in order to go downtown, guests need to take a taxi.
Modern style, clean rooms and everything looks very new and nice. Killed cockroaches and other reptil the first half hour, brown and dirty water, internet did not work in the room (worked mostly good in the reception area). I prepaid for five nights but moved out after the first night.
I booked a deluxe room. The room (305) is very very small and had no windows. The room was next to the elevator shaft. The elevator shaft sounded are very invasive DING DONG each time it arrived on the 3rd floor (allnight). The airconditioning made a terrible rattling noise, so you had an unhappy choice, keep it on for a little cool air or switch it off and just accept it. Paired with the DING DONG from the elevator it was a pretty deep question to have to answer.
The water in the shower was not hot for more than 30 seconds. The 'step' from the shower to the 'bathroom and toilet' was non existant so water from the cold shower covered the entire floor of the bathroom. I put a towel on the floor to keep the water from drifting into the bedroom. Lastly the room was not made up at all when arriving ack to the hotel the following evening. Last straw.
So i of course requested a solution, which was given the following night. Room 311 is further away from the elevator shaft so, thankfully, no DING DONG, the airco was, again thankfully, quieter too. The window was larger and the room a little larger than 305. However the bed was full of short black hairs on the sheets and a large bloodstain on the underside of the duvet.
There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, which is lucky because there was no holder either.
The shower was better and you make the best of a bad choice. But dont go back EVER
Hotel lobby clean, bathroom door was defective everytime open door it touches ceiling that paint if stripping off I have some strip paint in my head informed desk nothing was done. The area is out of the way taxi doesnt know where it is that we have to give direction everytime we take taxi. Breakfast very limited. If your going to airport have extra time because its traffic is horrible.
The hotel would be excellent if it was in another location! Email the hotel before you get there to make sure you get them to write down directions in Indonesian as the business card isn't enough.

Disliked: Cleanliness
the hotel was fairly clean and the staff was very very helpful. the room had no windows and the bed linens were not very clean. the hotel was very difficult to find.
Nothing like the photos they posted. It is very difficult to find, our taxi driver went out two times to ask local people where to go. There are no restaurants around in and between 15 mins walk. Need to walk up one flight to get to the lobby. The elevator is in bad condition. No free ice for guests. The room is much smaller than what they mentioned. Bed is changed, but there are still have things left from the last guests, like hair pins. Shower hot water only last 2 mins. and then, it turns warm. No toilet paper. After shower, water is all over the tiny bathroom floor. WiFi only can use in the lobby.
The staff were very helpful but they did nok have a lot of experience dealing with customers. A lot of things were missing compared to description such as coffee maker, toilet paper, locker was not working. But the hotel was new and nice. Breakfast was not very attractive.
The directions on he website dsnt say that pitojo street is actually an alley and the lack of proper signage only makes the problem worse. this is a new hotel and the restaurant has yet to open. However, the staff are very friendly and accomodating.. with the exception of the bellboy who acted like he owned the place, ddnt even bother to help us with our luggage. The same guy also kept us waiting outside our room for half and hour while he tried to figure out how the bed covers should go on. Overall if only hey could get rid of that bellboy/housekeeping guy, they would have a solid staff.
