Dirty house in a great location

My family and I have been visiting Wild Dunes now for 5 years. We have stayed in numerous properties around the resort and have always had wonderful experiences both in and out of the places we've rented. This vacation was wonderful outside of this home, but the inside of the home left us quite disappointed. I will have to say that the check-in process was simple and easy and the resort staff was amazing in helping us get checked in, but the issues arose upon entering the home. We arrived to a dirty house. The trashcans in the garage were overflowing with bags of trash from previous renters, the kitchen cabinets were full of dirty silverware, plates, pots, and pans. There were bottle caps, ping-pong balls, Starbucks cups, and other miscellaneous trash laying on the floor around the house. Two of the upstairs showers were full of sand, black hair, and dirt. There was sand absolutely all over the floor on the main level as well as the master bathroom. When my family and I rent places at the beach, we know that there will always be some sand in these homes, but the amount of sand in this house amounted to major piles. To say it was disgusting would be an understatement and it left us incredibly disappointed. While the dirtiness of this home left us with a sour taste in our mouth, I will say that the location could not have been any better. It is just steps from the beach, a short walk to the pools and restaurants, and easy access to the bike paths. The kitchen was well stocked (although dirty) and the home is beautifully decorated and appears recently renovated. If this home had a major deep cleaning done to it, then I would consider renting it again. However, at the moment I would never stay at this home again.
