Surfside Motel

"Overall our stay was good. I went with my sister and stayed 1 night. The room was very nicely air-conditioned which was wonderful because it was very hot. We showed up a little early before check in and was able to speak with the front desk and get a parking pass which I was completely grateful for. The location was nice. It is one block off the boardwalk and right near the beach access. I would stay again. The pool was crystal clear and looked well maintained."

"Really fun place to stay right on the water which obviously explains the need for the balcony rails and floors to be repainted. Staff super friendly. If you’re looking for cozy (only three rooms with private bathrooms) accommodations then this is the place for you. Would not hesitate to go back."

"This house was in an excellent location and the pool was a huge plus. Located in a quiet and private area. The house itself needs some updating and fixing appliances but overall, I would stay here again. The host was very responsive to the issues."

"This was our second vacation here with our family. We once again were blessed to enjoy both couple time and family time with our adult children in their twenties. We continued to build upon last year's memories with many more exciting and relaxing adventures like fishing, kayaking, reading on the dock while enjoying the beautiful view, family games and enjoying delicious local waterfront dining. Since we did stay here last year, we did appreciate how well the house was maintained and did take note of the little add-ons. Before we left, we were ALL talking about coming back next year for more good times."

"Despite the negative reviews of this place I must admit the room I had (105) was quite good,. It was clean, there was plenty of hot water and water pressure in the shower. Shampoo conditioner and soap were provided, The towels and sheets were clean, no hairs or stains,. The shower , was a little scratched on the floor of the bathtub probably because of all the sand, but clean. I am taking 1 star off for 2 reasons, 1) They need blinds on the window because the Persian blinds let in the hallway light and the stairs were next to it and I felt it didn't provide enough privacy, 2) The bed , while very comfortable and clean creaked a lot from the springs. The location is excellent , only 1 block from Midway Steaks / Spicy Cantina on the boardwalk. The parking , while tight was manageable. But we had a pleasant stay and I would stay here again."

"The house was in a lovely neighborhood, not even 1 block from the beach. It was very convenient to the boardwalk and the beach which was its best features; but walking around it was also a pleasure to admire all the lovely homes in the clean and safe neighborhood. The house we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We did not want for any thing; the apartment was well stocked. Not only was the ocean at our constant convenience , but restaurants, the casino pier, a beautiful state park, and shopping were very close at hand. We look forward to renting this property again next year."
