「Once I got my head past the idea that ‘this is not a Marriott’ I came to realize this is a great hotel. Room was comfortable. I was able to park right outside the hotel front door every night. Breakfast was good. The bar area is well presented with a good mix of locals and tourists to talk to. Room attended to daily. The local town is very pleasant. Some great coffee shops and pubs.」

「The Castle House is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. Our room was gorgeous, including a wonderful tub for a relaxing bath and a huge, comfortable, fancy bed. Breakfast was delicious and packed lunches were available for us C2C hikers. Our only small gripe was that the hosts were not available in the evening to help us with laundry, but I would still recommend staying here!」

「The apartment was exceptionally clean, Close to the shops , parking a little tight with a larger car , had a lovely stay」

「The lady that greeted us was lovely and she then told us where our room was. We hoped to eat in the hotel but was told that the chef had called in unable to cook. I tried to find out if we could get breakfast next morning but nobody came back to us. Nobody told us how to exit the building in an emergency and when we left the next morning at 9.45 we had to let ourselves out and leave the keys on the bar having seen no one! 「The room was nice and the bedding was amazing. Only thing to spoilt it was the such noisy plumbing, seriously, a tap on , toilet flick and shower was shocking, A poor nights sleep and the pipes were banging. Friendly staff but I couldn’t stay because of the noise x」

「A beautiful property, very clean and well situated. Secure parking and easy access to Richmond. A true welcome and good value for money. Highly recommended.」

「I really liked it. If you are expecting ultra modern this is not the place for you. If you are happy with a well worn in lived in vibe you will like it. It was cheap cheerful and I enjoyed the breakfast.」

「I was travelling on my own for a one night stay. I stayed in the Aysgarth Room. It was absolutely immaculate and the view from the bathroom and bedroom was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. I had the full English. I will definitely visit again with family .」
