I found the Buck Inn to be adequate and comfortable for my overnight stay. The pub is old and in need of renovation, the staff were outstanding and friendly. The bed was comfortable and all linen clean. The all English breakfast was very good, well done.

Really nice place, could do with a little update, especially the garden. I would say it’s a little rustic, but we had a lovely night away. Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.

Loved the place, old building in a beautiful old town. It is what it is, if you want the Ritz then this isn't the place for you, but then there isn't a Ritz in Richmond. But it was fine for my wife and I, and I will definitely use again. Full English breakfast was great, along with cereal and toast and tea or coffee. Lovely

The bedroom wasn’t very clean. Bathroom was in need of a refurb, smelly. Carpet in the bedroom needed cleaning. The breakfast was good and the bar brilliant. The two staff which ran the Buck Inn were okay.

We spent on night at the Buck and enjoyed our stay, the staff were lovely and made us feel welcome, we entered the quiz on the Sunday night but didn’t win! The breakfast was good also. We would have liked a small sink in the shower room and a bigger table to make drinks on as the kettle was on the windowsill.

The Buck Inn is in a prime central location on a picturesque street. I think some of the recent reviews are unfair. Richmond is an expensive town and most places charge £160 to £180 per night. The Buck Inn charges £85 a night for a double and that includes a very good breakfast. The room is a large en-suite with tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and a fair sized tv. Good quality toiletries are provided. The bedding is clean and very good quality and the bed is comfortable. The downsides are that the carpet has seen much better days and needs a good steam clean or replacing. Elements of the decor could do with an upgrade. The room needs far better lighting and more electrical sockets, especially near the bed. Overall though, this represents good value for Richmond. We found the welcome to be very friendly and the bar serves an excellent pint of cask ale! We would happily return.

Perfect hosts, friendly greetings on arrival and managed to check in half an hour early. A few tired areas in the Buck Inn which could do with freshening up but appreciate it is an old listed building. However this didn’t dampen our stay. Comfy bed and nice clean linen and towels. A great hearty breakfast in the morning set us up for the day ahead. Would definitely return again.

I have stayed here a number of times and have loved it every time. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the inn's location is perfect and breakfast is delicious. A perfect place for a little getaway.
