Perfect 1 bedroom in 43rd floor. You may view 180 degree panoramic ocean view from the living room!!
As you enter, you will find the fully equipped contemporary kitchen perfectly matching the whole design of the unit.
In the living room, you will find designer furniture: leather sofas, a sleeper, journal table all complimenting each other and perfectly forming the whole unique contemporary feel.
In the bedroom, there is queen size bed for your full recharge. Through the bedroom, you can go to the lanai, sit on a comfy sofa, sip your island drink and enjoy a fabulous sunrise, sunset and just ocean, mountain, park views.
Island Colony is a few steps away from the building is a large concentration of shopping centers, such as Waikiki Shopping Plaza, BeachWalk, and the International Marketplace.
There is truly no end to the stores to wander through, unique dining options, and entertainment such as Hula lessons or cultural shows closeby.
But, if you prefer to explore more of Waikiki or even the greater Oahu area, there are several transportation options.
There is a bus stop located 3 minutes from the Island Colony building.
There is also a Biki rental bike stand nearby, which can be used to explore Waikiki.
You will definitely enjoy all of the perks of the Island Colony condo itself, which offers a nice pool and Jacuzzi as well as the gym, BBQ and mini shop. - all at an affordable price compared to similar hotels in central Waikiki.
The room rate is less than a half of them.

Great location

The location was perfect for walking around, great view from the balcony and the pull out sofa was very comfortable. We did run out of clean towels and TP, the front desk does not supply to Vrbo tenants, we ended up buying our own but could have probably called the leasing agent. Overall no complaints!

Great Location

This apartment has an amazing view and location in the heart of Waikiki. Admittedly the building/rooms are not the most updated, the price and value makes up for it, and did I mention the view and convenience?? Do note that the bedroom has A/C, but the living room has a few fans accessible. There were even some bonus features that were nice additions such as lawn chairs, umbrella, board games, etc.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was very clean. The location was great. The view was fantastic. The AC is not too good. I called about the blinds being broken, and the AC not working well, but never received a call back. The TV situation is really poor. A decent TV that you could mirror to would be pretty inexpensive. Overall we had a great stay. You could do a few things to the place that would make it more appealing to future guests.

Vacation Getaway

Perfect room...location, view indescribable......sunrises perfect, ocean view excellent, surrounding views breathtaking!! 43rd floor, expected all of that. Got in late, 26 hours from North Carolina.....had the code to the room, even last code, nothing worked..no help from lady who gave us our fobs for the doors. Security finally sent someone up, he knew to put a check mark at the end of the code...got in. Should have been in our email? Air conditioning was non existent, uncomfortable the entire 14 days, never did cool the rooms day or night! I tried calling the number on our email..left messages..finally got a call back from a lady who could neither speak or understand English? Unacceptable. All she could repeat was send e-mail over and over. No help. Bed marginal, pillows flat, bought our own to sleep. Still, loved the place. Once inside, everything worked. Would ask for it next time if AC works? Perfect location to town, restaurants, beach, shopping and tour bus pickup and drop off. Had a rental car the whole two weeks and had to pay for parking, $1,500 expense. Could have rented a car in from the building just for days needs...turned in at night, saved $800. Didn’t know. Overall, great time, would still recommend it to family and friends.

The View Was Amazing

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was amazing.However, the bathroom fan was extremely noisy.The air conditioner was also loud, and since there was only one unit in the bedroom, the living room got too hot.The ventilation was good, so it was comfortable with the windows open during the day, but it was hard to sleep at night.It would have been nice to have an electric kettle.

Reviewer Comments: The view of the canal (including rowing teams) from the bedroom, and the view of the city and Waikiki beach from the living room are stunning. If you enjoy shopping and dining, the location is 1 to 2 blocks from everything in central Waikiki. Its not really convenient for beach swimming access, as you would need to carry beach equip. a few blocks. The room could definitely use more decor, particularly, the living room has a sparse feel, several pictures of tropical scenery would be nice. The first two days we had to contact property management because the TV was not hooked up, (fixed the next day) and the freezer didn't work at all, this was never addressed, and we had to throw away a couple of damaged items. Also, the microwave and stovetop were not user friendly or intuitive on how to use, it took much trial and error until we figured them out (and located a manual). Bedroom did not have a window cover for the center slider, so there was lights from the city all night, and the AC is very loud (my husband temporarily muffled it). Parking was $40 a night, quite pricey. The pool and jacuzzi area is nice. I would recommend this property for the view and location.

Reviewer Comments: The view was perhaps the best possible with the balcony setting giving the southern view of Diamond Head and Waikiki shops/beach, and the Living room giving the western view of Waikiki shops/beach and both allowing direct viewing of the ocean. We spent every morning and evening on the balcony enjoying the sunrise, and sunset with the living room windows that open fully allowing fresh area throughout the unit.

Stayed at Island Colony, great location for visit, right in the center of Waikiki attractions, and east drive to other tourist attractions nearby - Koko Head, Perl Harbor, Manoa Falls. Top floor apartment, with great views of the canal, the sea and mountains .

I could rave about everything I raved about in my previous stay and more. Had another excellent stay in this condo. The lanai is an amazing space with a postcard view. The 49er Cafe in the lobby was closed during my last stay and was one of the highlights during this stay.
