GRAND HOTEL du LAC Boutique Saigon
Spotless, comfortable room, great view, great staff, nice breakfast. Neighborhood around hotel is sort of a touristy hub, busy and "touristy" but it is so central and walkable to everything. Pool is tiny and commonly full.

The hotel is pretty central (a few minutes walk from the opera house) with welcoming, friendly staff, good sized clean rooms and a good breakfast selection. The afternoon tea (tea/coffee and small cakes and sandwiches) is a nice bonus too.
