The grounds were very well kept and the staff was friendly. The breakfast in the morning was a great option as well. We loved the location and would stay again if we were in the area!

A truly hidden gem in the Black hills.

The owners Justin and Ashley are amazing!!! Made us feel like family. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful relaxing stay in Wildcat cottage! The waffles and coffee for breakfast were great. Had lots of good conversations with the owners Justin and Ashley and some of the other guests in the Taproom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Black Elk Resort. The owners were so very accommodating and the cottage was absolutely lovely! This is a convenient location for visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, and Keystone.

Our cabin was wonderful! Clean, cozy, and comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival and throughout our stay. The location was perfect, just a few miles from all the attractions in Hill City and Keystone. I recommend Black Elk to anybody visiting the area!

Phenomenal

What a great place to stay. This was easily the best place we stayed at during our time in the Hills. Lora and Dan are great hosts and made our stay even better. Make sure you spend some time in the taproom as they have some local brews to choose from. We can’t wait too stay here again.

This is a cozy little place. It is nice but be aware the cabins are small. Has a very neat little tap room that is quite fun. The owners are very sweet and welcoming. Very easy access to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

Black Elk lodge is in a great location, and clean and maintained to a very high level. But beyond that, Lora and Dan are so helpful. They helped with suggesting scenic drives to take, sites to see, places to eat, as well being great people to visit with. Thanks Lora & Dan, we'll be back definitely!

Aspen Cabin was wonderful!

Great place to stay! Loved the taphouse on site. They offered free waffles and coffee in the morning. Had a bonfire on every night for anyone to join. Quiet and serene surroundings. Roomy cabins and so comforable! I was so pleasantly surprised. Will stay again!

Clean, comfortable, convenient

The cabin was super clean and comfortable, in a very pretty location that's convenient to a lot of Black Hills day trips. We stayed in the off-season, so not much going on, but I imagine the taproom and community bonfire during high season would be great. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
