Unforgettable Review

We had a great time during our stay in the cabin. Check in was easy and we had no issues during our stay. We really enjoyed the location- walking trails available around the cabin and short drive time into town of Cleveland, to Helen, and to many other hikes. We would definitely stay again.

only issue was the batteries in the tv remotes need to be changed and the hot tub wasn't hot it was luke warm

Nice little getaway

House is convenient to Helen, about a 20 minute drive. Nice to have the primary on the first floor. Kitchen stocked with pots, pans and cutlery. Great place for a long weekend getaway.

It was ok except for cleanliness

Cabin wasn’t cleaned very well, sink upstairs didn’t drain, cobwebs on windows and blood on comforter in one of the rooms. Reached out to company no response. Only 2 coffee cups.

Wonderful stay

My mom and I stayed for 6 nights while visiting the area. We really had no complaints. We enjoyed the private setting and the cabin was well appointed and maintained. The only wish we had was for better window coverings as it was a little spooky at night.

Beautiful spot!!

The cabin was simply put, AMAZING!! It is a bit bumpy to get to, but it was a good experience for the kids. I mean we were staying in a cabin in the woods!! It was clean and nicely decorated!! The kids truly enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub. While we were enjoying the hot tub a doe walked by and stopped to look at us and then continued on her way. It was pretty cool for the kids to experience that beauty. We got to see A LOT of fireflies as we sat on the porch at night and it was all-in-all an amazing and peaceful stay!!

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin is beautiful, but the outside was full of spider webs and pollen and as a person with server allergies I couldn't sit out on the balcony and enjoy the outside with my coffee.

Enjoyable cabin in the woods experience.

The house was very well built. The inside was lovely, and very comfortable. Just a nice place to hang out, build a fire in the fireplace, and spend quality time with family.

Didn’t Meet Expectations

Property was smaller than expected based on photos. No drawers in 1BR and in other BR it was placed in closet due to room size. No nightstand/ table on one side of master bed. Had to use a box. Property is somewhat isolated to go anywhere but nice wooded setting. Would never advise chocolate brown towels. gives the impression of dirty, not clean. Pedestal sink in upstairs bathroom for the BRs leaves no where to even leave a toothbrush. Nice but didn’t meet expectations so we wouldn’t recommend.

Summer vacation

Cabin was spotless and just as described. Loved listening to a heavy mountain storm on the metal roof our last night there. Hot tub was clean and perfect to end a day of hard hiking.

Unforgettable… Indeed

Overall the property is decent. I’d say 3.5 stars. The reasoning for the lack of 5 stars is listed below. 1) master bed creaks so much. There’s basically no support underneath it. The mattress curves and tries to make you roll to the center. The sheets seemed to be microfiber and the pillows terrible. Something the guest can easily remedy if they know the pitfalls. Linens could be easily upgraded at a cheap cost by the host. 2) hot water was terrible. Lasted about two min. Get in and out of that shower and don’t try to take a bath! Addressed with rental agency (BCC) who states they just replaced the tank. Maybe the temp wasn’t set correctly. Seemed like it was set to 100 degrees! 3) no curtains in master bath, minimal in bedroom. You’re in the woods, so you should be good… but there’s nothing to block out light. Weird at night because people could be voyers. 4) railing by pool table to the left when looking at the door is unstable. Bows with minimal pressure. Needs support under along bottom rail or a beam to support it. Pool table is also extremely undersized to a standard table with stains all over the felt. 5) many cobwebs on ceiling in master. Noticed this during power outage. Average guest may not see this under normal circumstances… bringing me to my next point. Blue creek cabins manages this property. You are in a secluded area using one way dirt roads to get in and out of the rental. We happened to be there during a storm that knocked out power and subsequently water for one night, the following day, and into the next evening when we decided to get out of there since we had two kids and dogs with us. Freezing cold, couldn’t even flush a toilet. Couldn’t do dishes or any of the cleaning measures on the check out list due to this. I called blue creek cabins a number of times to discuss this. I had to report the outage when it occurred at 0300 (AM). Spent about an hour on hold with GA power to find out they had habersham electric… patiently tried to wait for its return by going to Helen for the day. We were trapped in one way by downed power lines. Jamie at BCC was not the most helpful and basically said to wait for the utilities to return, that this has only ever happened once before (irrelevant to my trials yet helpful for those reading this). I ended up getting a refund on the last night of the rental after she called me back. Won’t forget this experience unless I get dementia. Also, this is in a series of other cabins.

Nice Clean Cabin, fun trip!

We enjoyed renting Unforgettable Cabin! We had a nice family weekend. Good driving distance from Helen (about 15 min), so we were easily able to do some touristy things, but also enjoy a quiet cabin. It was clean and easy to use, and our family had a lot of fun from the pool table to the fire pit. They provided so many bath towels which is so nice, as sometimes rentals don't provide enough. The curtains are very sheer, and it would be nice if you could be sure the inside was not visible from outside at night. If you rent this cabin you will need to bring your own wine and beer openers and dish towels. They definitely have the basics covered, but it would be nice if a few more amenities were offered (such as a packet of fire wood to get you started and puzzles or games to enjoy during your stay).

Didn’t meet my expectations.

Cabin was big enough. Beds comfortable. Cleanliness was not up to par. There were several cob webs through out the cabin. Hot tub steps are not where they are supposed to be making it difficult to get in and out. Cabin sleeps six but hot tub is a 3 person. The lights do not work on the hot tub.There are no drapes in master bathroom. There needs to be blinds in all bedrooms.
