Check in was easy. Reception staff was courteous and helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable and the room was spacious.
However, the room floors were very dirty. The room smelled like heavy smoke, and a little musty, Especially in the bathroom. There was also an air freshener in the room to cover up the smell but it made it worse.
The restaurant looks nice, clean, and presentable, but the food was average and the staff were not very attentive.
Overall, not bad for a middle of the road hotel, and has potential to be nice. It just didn’t quite deliver anything over average.

Lovely friendly staff, but the shower was tiny, mouldy and the sink didn't work, so hardly any water coming out. I reported the problem with the sink the following day, but was told that it may not get fixed as the hotel was undergoing a full renovation in a few weeks. I fully understand that the owners don't want to spend money when they are ripping out old rooms AND I was offered a room change, but decided not to take it. Room cleanliness was good, but I gave a low score on the overall cleanliness as the hotel needed a deep clean, but as above, no point if they're renovating soon. Would stay again, but I'll be waiting until the renovations are complete.
