The highlight of this stay is definitely the staff (shoutout to Precious and C/Katherine). Professional, affable and warm. They ensure we're well accommodated for and settle in easily. Room was spotless, no complains no doubt. 11/10 would try other suites.

Popular places to visit

Pike O' Stickle is the site of a Stone Age axe factory. Archaeologists have found discarded axe heads strewn on the scree which descends into the valley below. A kind of prehistoric rubbish dump for axe makers. Years ago people used the scree as a quick descent route to the valley floor. It's very much frowned upon nowadays and the scree is much depleted. I wonder how Stone Age man returned to the valley without walking boots to keep dry and safe.
