5. Catoctin Mountain Park (distance from house - 50 mins): A bit farther out, Catoctin Mountain Park offers great hiking opportunities with views of the surrounding landscape. It's a more rugged park with excellent trails for varying skill levels, including the Catoctin Mountain Trail and Blue Ridge Trail.

This was a lovely house for our family to stay while we explored Harper’s Ferry. We could easily walk to town or the trails, and it had plenty of space for two teenage boys (while their parents enjoyed the hot tub!). We would definitely stay here again!
Easy access to walk to locations and the town. Minutes to Harper's Ferry National Park. Fenced in yard for dogs was a plus. Walking trail to town seconds away. Hot tub was welcomed after hours of hiking/walking. Cool property.
It was our first time in Harpers Ferry and this place was perfect for us! We were right in the thick of everything - so close to the historical areas, trails, food/drink - but we still had all the privacy that comes from being on a smaller street. The house was exactly as described and convenient for our family, and the host was very communicative. All in all this was a wonderful experience.
We were so pleased with everything but particularly enjoyed all the wildlife nearby and the great selection of books found within the home.
Five stars and highly recommended!
Very nice property within easy walking distance to downtown Harpers Ferry. Hot tub was so clean and felt great after a day of tubing....Grill was perfect for making family meals....We had a really nice time
We booked this property for a weekend getaway with friends. The home is lovely and spacious. We appreciated the decor- there are beautiful touches throughout.
We were able to enjoy the outdoor amenities such as the hot tub, hammock and fire pit.
The home is an easy walk to downtown Harper’s Ferry for shopping, dining and sightseeing.
I would definitely return for another visit!
Took a quick getaway here over the holidays. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We had a great time. Enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and playing games at the table by the hearth. The porch is a great place to relax. Nice walk into Harpers Ferry with spectacular views.
My family and I had a perfect stay. The house was very clean and spacious. My family is convinced that there is no better location for a Harpers Ferry rental as the town is within walking distance and trails are right across the street. The host was very organized, helpful, and responsive. We are looking forward to coming back later this year.
It was a very memorable stay in a 1830’s tavern turned guesthouse. Everything was very clean. It was nice to see the history preserved, with modern touches. The kitchen was fully stocked, although we didn’t really use it much. Cupboards and drawers contained coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oils, spices, etc. Close enough to Harper’s Ferry to walk to the sights, far enough to have a sense of privacy.

Harper’s Ferry Getaway
Location is great and staying in an1800 tavern has appeal. The pans were dirty, greasy and the Teflon well beyond safe use. In fact, I bought a skillet and left it for the next guests. The shower curtain bottoms were dirty and moldy. These are easy fixes. The downstair’s bedroom mattress might be original to the tavern.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this tucked away historic property. It is very charming on the outside and spacious and very nicely decorated on the inside. We loved the lay out and the ease of check in. Each room is cozy and homey with just the right amount of decor. The hot tub was soothing at the end of the day and was extra special on the cooler rainy weather we got while we were there. We found all the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay. Harper's Ferry is just a short little 3-4 minute drive and so close to hiking trails and the Shenandoah and Potomac river. Hiking and history are just a few feet away! Corinne was such a wonderful host and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was just as it was advertise. We were very close to Harper’s Ferry on a very quiet street. Just wished there was more than one kitchen towel and that the propane for the bar-b-cue wasn’t empty. But Walmart wasn’t too far away to buy more.
This is by far the coolest and most unique stay we’ve had so far. The house is chock full of historic charm with every modern amenity you could ask for. Towels and linens are excellent quality, the kitchen is well stocked, plenty of room for everyone. We are so grateful to have experienced such a unique stay with our dogs. The hot tub is amazing-nice and private with a lovely backdrop! Communication was always fast and efficient. So many thoughtful touches such as a binder with lots of information about the area, plenty of toiletries, gorgeous landscaping and a little bag of other welcome goodies! They truly go above and beyond to ensure you have an excellent stay! We will definitely stay again! Highly recommend!!!

The hot tub wouldn’t warm to over 92 degrees. This was the only reason I chose this property. And I called to verify it’s operation be for signing the rental agreement. When we woke in the morning I went to make my wife a cup of coffee and there was none in the house. For 450 a night this is inexcusable.
