Well the reception was good, the building is quiet old, the room was ok based on the price for one day, the ac made noice at night for some reason, i did woke up but was not bothered since i am a heavy sleeper, for other can be a bit problem.

A deal

A great deal for the price. A little out dated and worn, but still functional. Bathroom had a nice tub, which was the first we’ve seen in Vietnam. Ac worked well

Do not stay here

Photos in ad seem to be fake. My room looked nothing like the photos and I suspect none of the rooms do because the building interior seems completely run down not modern like photos suggest. The room was filthy eg the lamp on the roof was covered in grey grime. Generally unpleasant and uninviting. To get to rooms you had to walk through a darkened stairwell which was very foreboding. And the place seemed almost desserted.

배낭여행객이나 방 컨디션 별로 신경 안쓰고 저렴히 갈 사람에게는 추천!!!

나는 숙박을 하기위해서 잡은 것은 아니고 짐을 잠시 맡아두는 용도 및 샤워를 하기 위해서 잡은 것이었기 때문에 사실 방 컨디션 보다는 저렴한 가격을 선택했고, 따라서 만족도에 대하여 평가하기도 좀 어렵지만 우선 엘레베이터가 없으며 에어컨이 구식이라서 바람이 시원하지 않다. 그래도 그것 때문인지 배려차원에 선풍기가 각 방에 하나씩 있다. 만약 내가 배낭여행으로 방값이 저렴한 숙박시설을 위해서라면 충분히 갈 가치가 높은 곳이다. 물도 편의점보다 저렴하다!!! 2리터 되는 물이 500원(10000VND)정도다.. (350ml가 보통 마트에서 250원에 판다. 가격이 천차만별이라.. 내가 본 곳은 그랬다..ㅎㅎ) 하지만 가족여행은 비추천이다 ㅠㅠ 마지막 날 노이바이공항으로 가는 택시를 요청했는데 우리 인원이 많아서 16인승을 요청을 했으나 차량이 없었나보다.. 나눠서 가야하나 걱정했는데 직원의 계속된 노력으로 16인승을 타고 왔다. 고마웠다 ^^ 그래서 굿리뷰 작성중이다 ㅎㅎ

We made a hotel reservation and paid online and received a confirmation both from hotels.com and the hotel itself. However upon the arrival they told us they had forgotten the check the online bookings and the hotel was full. We were transferred to another hotel, where we had to pay for the room separately. After a long discussion the staff member promised that she would sort out the matter, but apparently she did not and we ended up paying twice. To be avoided.

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal!

Einfaches und sauberes Hotel in zentraler Lage, alles zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ausflüge können direkt im Hotel zu günstigen Preisen gebucht werden. Das Gepäck kann für mehrere Tage zwischengelagert werden wenn Touren z.B. Nach Sapa unternommen werden. Das Personal ist super nett und macht den Unterschied: familiäre Atmosphäre, hatten das Gefühl, dass alles getan wurde um uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.

Jak w domu!

Bardzo miła obsługa hotelu, która mieszka na miejscu Bardzo wyrozumiali ludzie. Z hostelu pojechałem na wycieczkę do Ha Long - super!!! a następnie po wymeldowaniu, do Sa Pa. Wszystkie bilety na miejscu w recepcji. Po powrocie z Sa Pa (kierowca przyjechał 3 godz. szybciej) wysadzono nas z autobusu na przystanku i ... spadajcie. Była 3:00 w nocy. Do KANGAROO z 10 min z buta - ale noc... Taxi podwiozło nas pod Hostel, kierowca okrutnie załomotał w drzwi zanim zacząłem wyjaśniać, że nie mam tu noclegu. Obudzone Panie z uśmiechem na ustach przywitały nas, oddały łóżko w holu i po ludzku przygarnęły za zwykłe dziękuje. Udostępniły łazienkę, prysznic, poczęstowały kawą. Kochane dziewczyny!!! Wróciłem tam jeszcze raz po kilku tygodniach, bo miejsce, obsługa i atmosfera jest Rewelacyjna. POLECAM!!!

Kangaroo Hostel is a nice place, accessible to all the places you want to. The room is nice and clean. The staff is very warm and welcomes you with a smile. They are friendly, approachable and accommodating. Additional to that, you will be entertained with the kid who loves to laugh and make friends with you. I recommend to everyone to book into this place and you will not regret it.

Great Hostel for Travellers and Backpackers

The Kangeroo Hostel staffs was very helpful, patient, friendly and pleasant. Both did helped us with our taxi and train bookings, gave us a map to explore the city of Hanoi, explain and clarify tours and attraction in Hanoi. It was a great experience. It would be better if they provide a kettle/boil hot water for us to prepare our meals and drinks upon request.

저렴한것을 제외하고는 전반적으로 편하지 않았던 숙소. 입실시 객실 청소는 안되어 있었으나,핫샤워나 에어컨은 잘 되었음. 특별히 친절하지도 불친절하지도 않았음. 저렴여행을 추구하는 배낭여행객에 적합하고, 가족여행이나 비즈니스 여행객에게는 절대 추천하고 싶지 않음. 실제보다 사진이 너무 잘 나왔음. 호안끼엠 호수까지는 도보 약 10분내외.

ホテルとは名ばかり

家族経営は分かりますが、余りにも節度がなさすぎでした。 小さな子供が早朝から深夜まで大声で泣いた叫んだり、フロントの女性は昼寝で対応もおろそか 部屋の掃除はバスタオルのみの交換、シーツは4日目マクラカバーは3日目にようやく取り替えてくれました。 朝食もスタッフの気分次第でフルーツが付いたり無かったりでした。 二度と泊まることはありません。

Fantastisk balkon

Kangaroo er et hyggeligt hotel med sødt personale. Vi fik rummet øverst oppe med balkon med super udsigt! Der er ikke det bedste indeklima, der er lidt fugtigt og indelukket, men så kan man åbne døren til balkonen. Det er dejligt, der er morgenmad - meget enkelt, men fint.

בסיסי מינוס

המלון לא ממש נקי ומאוד ישן. יצאנו דרכם לטיול של שלושה ימים ולפני כן ביקשנו לשמור לנו חדר ליום החזרה ונאמר לנו שאין בעיה וכי ישמרו לנו. לצערנו, כשחזרנו בערב לאחר יום ארוך של נסיעות נאמר לנו כי אין חדר פנוי ונאלצנו להתחיל לחפש מקום אחר עם התיקים עלינו. מעבר לכך הבנות במקום מאוד נחמדות ועוזרות אבל כמובן שזה שלא שמרו לנו חדר השאיר טעם לפגם. המלון עצמו מאוד ישן, לא ממש נקי ואין מעלית אז מי שיש לו חדר בקומה גבוה צריך להיסחב כל פעם עם המזוודות.

Great tours, bad hotel

The plusses first, the hotel is located in the heart of the old quarter so everything is within walking distance. Also the tour we did through Halong Bay which was recommended by the hotel was awesome. Then the negatives, when we arrived our room was not ready as they had let someone stay late, they had our flightdetails and arranged our pick up at the airport, but we still had to wait another 2 hours before the room was ready. Our double room was a twin and they just pushed the beds together. It was a very cold weekend but the hotel provides no heating in the room and there is no warm common area to relax either. The heatpump/aircon machines in the pictures don't even work, half of them don't have remote controls. The rooms are very damp as the showers don't have any ventilation and because it is that cold after you shower the bathroom stays wet until they clean the room. The hairdryers seem to all be hidden in 1 room so if your unlucky dont count on them finding one.

The room was clean and neat And the members of hostel are very kind. If you are a backpackers and you don't have much money to spend, I highly recommend here to stay.
