"Breakfast was lackluster but good enough. Not a lot of choices, coffee was not great sausage was kind of watery like its steamed. Waffles were good."

"Pros: Staff and management were incredible. Very kind, helpful, accommodating! The location was great for beach lovers. The restaurant waitress was beyond busy but she always had a smile. Cons: Poor Value for the costs!!! We arrived early and were told the room was ready (yeah) but then was told it would cost $75 extra! While the facility was recently renovated, the rooms have a VERY strong odor of sewage or mildew. We were moved to a room next to a small pool with deck but the pool was closed each day and we even had to leave the loungers because the staff was training in the pool. The window faced the street and since it’s located close to a fire station, we heard loud sirens all night-as well as cars honking, motorcycles, loud music from the street. If you’re a light sleeper-request a room away from the front. The cost for valet was $60 per night so be prepared! If you’re attending Tortuga, beware! It only makes sense to stay here if you have VIP. The main entrance is about a mile away and you have to walk or pay for a golf cart. The food and drinks were OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. $22 for a coffee and muffin; $70 for two basic bar drinks. You’re better off going a few blocks down to Shorely. The staff get an A +, the value for the cost gets an F although it was Tortuga weekend so I’m sure they just want to make $$. I get it but still feel totally ripped off for what we got. "

"Run-down resort that does not resemble the images. Area around the 'resort' isn't the best either. Good access for the beach but be prepared to pay a significant daily fee for beach chairs and umbrella. The chairs from the resort are NOT sufficient."

"Place is not represented correctly. Pictures on Expedia look beautiful. Place is an old smelly dump. Don’t stay here. Terrible "

"The room smelled very musty, like mold when we entered but the smell lessened after we turned on the air conditioner There where huge dust balls and mites on the walls on top of the lamps and the rug felt sticky. The sign on the room said we could call front desk for a room refresh, such as change of bins/bathroom refresh - I asked the front office person and she said "I will see if that can be done but you can just out the trash out before 2pm and we will take it. We had a full day event so we could not take the trash out by 2pm and when we got back, the spruce up service was not done. The rooms are really not maintained. The bed was comfortable and the fridge worked fine. "
