Haltia - The Finnish Nature Centre

I needed a Hostel at a fair price as I was travelling alone. Opted for a 4 bed dorm with free breakfast. Everything was great but the most important thing for me was the close bus route No. 600 which goes to the Airport. Perfect , with bus stop less than 10 minutes away. Also late bar open and kitchen facilities if required. 24 hour convenience store next door , superb Portuguese Restaurant across the road and also a Rock Bar. Didn't use public transport but walked everywhere in the City that I wanted to visit within easy distance from the Hostel.

Perfect location. Walkable to all things, tram right outside the hotel, room had all you needed - laundry, kitchen, etc. easy arrival check in and check out. Unfortunately, somewhere in the hotel, the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate for a bit one evening. The kitchen is great but the people there said sometimes people set the fire alarm off when cooking. We did not use the breakfast service bc the location was so close to many places to get coffee and eat. The sushi restaurant inside the hotel was a perfect dinner for when we arrived. Easy and good. The market in the building was also very helpful. We were on the back side of the hotel, the noise was pretty loud with the construction or cleaning in the early hours. Closing the windows made it better. We just came at a time when it was hot. We will stay at a Bob W. again. The concept is perfect for traveling.
