Highly recommending

Valo hotel is modern, clean and in a very nice area. Saunas in the topfloor are really good, with a view over the area. Delicious breakfast with multiple warm and cold choices to get a good start for the day.

The wellness center was my reason for booking. It was very busy in the evening, but the morning was sublime! I thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, pool, steam room and sauna. I didn't visit for business but the meeting rooms and work spaces were awesome.

Staying Valo was exceptional, the room was a bit small. Staff had great costumers service,daily house keeping. The food was excellent, I will definitely recommend this hotel and work to everyone. It's every you need I a vacation.

Perfect stay as usual, my 2nd visit here. Clean and quiet rooms, comfy beds. Good breakfast. Only negative thing maybe are the elevators, had to wait 10 minutes sometimes since there is only 2 for the whole hotel complex

Nice Hotel. Quiet when above ground floor, nice corridors. Room was clean - but small. Disappointed that initially there was no table in the room, I had to commandeer one from the corridor. No fridge either, but staff were happy to store some items in their fridge for me. Lovely bed with spotless linen Breakfast for me is just coffee and juice - although I didn't find the coffee that appealing and there was no orange juice so I had to have an alternative. The Breakfast area was very busy - but the staff were excellent! Overall the staff were very good. Hotel was close to public transport stops.

Excellent hotel w exceptional service

Perfect hotel w good rates. A bit far from city center but tramstop is few mins walk away. Really clean hotel, quiet rooms. Comfy bed. Breakfast was a bit full, so recommend going before 9am especially on weekends. Overall excellent stay

had a fantastic stay at VALO Hotel in Helsinki. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable from the rooms to the common areas, everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights was the rooftop absolutely stunning views over the city, especially at sunset. The rooftop sauna experience was also a real treat, offering both relaxation and a beautiful vantage point. Highly recommend VALO for a comfortable and memorable stay in Helsinki!

Although the hotel was a little far—just over 20 minutes by bus from the central station—it was close to a bus stop, and the room was compact, clean, and very functional. A fridge would have made it even better. The room temperature was comfortable and the dimmable lighting system was excellent, which helped me wind down nicely before bed. Breakfast was delicious and great value. Because the room was visible from a corridor window, I had to keep the sheer curtain closed, and the women’s sauna wasn’t hot enough; otherwise, it was a very comfortable stay. Kiitos!

The reception were helpful and pleasant. Staff kept the reception area clean and presentable. Cleanliness of the room was mediocre as I found multiple hairs from the previous clients around the bathroom and floor. Also, found a small dead mosquito or fly on the blanket. Floor of the room was not in best shape, as stains can be found. Soap dispensers were not refilled, even though I removed and opened them from the shelf/bracket. Overall, I give it 3 stars.

Smart, compact and efficient room. A really small bathroom and a room with the bed being 60 % of the floor. No desk so not possible to work in the room but plenty of working space in the reception area and also a reasonably priced coworking area. Fresh, very Nordic design. Check in, check out, ordering food in the restaurant, all automated. Maybe efficient but not personal at all. Breakfast buffé with all the basics but nothing special. They have a wellness area as well but did not see. All in all, a good Hotel of you have business in the area.

Very Poor Experience

The hotel is different to other hotels with regards to its catering for large work conference type of meetings. This meant that the restaurants was full at both Lunch and dinner. They offered to allow me to eat food in the reception area....I tried to have room service, but there was a very high charge, with the food being very pricey already. Not many food options locally to the hotel, so I had to look further afield. I booked this hotel, over others in the area, due to the pool and spa area that looked very appealing. On check in i was told it was 25 Euros a day to use these areas though, very very disappointing. The gym was free, though, but its a very small area, with a handful of equipment that gets crowded very quickly. Next time I return, I will not look to stay here again.
