will avoid this hotel in the future
Rooms ar big and spacious but other than that nothing more to this hotel. Rooms were damp, receptionist was always in a fould mood and did absolutely nothing to help us in any query. It wasnt the language barrier...we has a perfectly good translation app. Breakfast was probably the worst ive ever had at a hotel. location was quiet but not close to a metro. You have to take a taxi anywhere. We did find a resdidential locality on the opposite strret where there were bakeries, grocery stores and restaurants. The only really sweet person in this hotel was the room cleaning lady...at least she smiled and greeted everyone cheerfully. Will not stay here again, there are plenty of hotels in this range which are really good and close to the metro.
Nice stay decent hotel for the price you paying...stayed in this area as you can find Indian restaurant around

It was ok, the only thing is they need someone to speak good English.
Their English is little but however, with patience, you can understand them

OK 3* Hotel for trade fair
Cheap hotels in Gz during trade fairs are very rare. Costs triple generally. Hotel is not western 3* but if you only intend to sleep & chk email & use bathroom it is ok. I would use again but there are far better hotels nearby. They compete on price. Once nearing capacity they raise prices. Very poor english. Poor breakfast.1 basic English TV channel. Toilet blocked £ times. Forget meals in restaurant. Good internet for price paid £50/night during Trade fair?? I prefer Landmark but never get @ this price which makes bad points bearable. Only 1 bus to fair whilst advertising 2. Ignoring any complaint because they know they`ve got your business only on price. As this was our 4th stay : we were given rooms in seperate block.
1. Earlier staff and the facility use to be very good, but now even they have started chrging for water,
2. they have removed even fridge from every room,
3. they have also removed luggage table, they provide u with broken iron table and iron,
4.after 9pm no one picks up the phone in room service,
5. Even receptions staff are rude
6. Every time check in take more than one hour although u have 100% confirmation
7. There is no welcome in the hotel
8. I shall never come to stay in the hotel
9. I shall never recommend any one to this hotel
horrible stay

FRONT DESK GUYS NOT COOPERATING, BUT GYM BELOW FOR 40 RMB AND SWIMMING POOL IS A PLUS
Hard bed hurt my back. Staff we're unfriendly and unhelpful. Breakfast was yuck.
Worst part was that I chose the hotel as it had an outdoor pool - I was travelling with my kids. But the pool was $10 per each time you wanted to use it PLUS the insisted on us buying swimming caps PLUS after going through all that my husband and sons were screamed at and kicked out for only having board shorts to swim in not the apparent regulation swimming costume!!!! Furious!
It was a good experience, wifi service was not good. Location is very good, all famous places are very close to the hotel,A building is excellent, B is good, and C is average.
I booked this hotel based on the info published on the Travelocity.com website, which states that it offers "airport
transportation, complementary." When I landed at CAN (Guangzhou Airport), there was no shuttle to bring me to
the hotel, and I was in fact besieged by numerous aggressive taxi drivers, all offering me a different rate to bring me
to King Garden Hotel (some quite astronomical). I finally chose one with considerable trepidation, and was driven
safely to the hotel for a fee of 200RMB. Upon arrival, I tried to explain the issue to the staff, who appeared not to understand. At departure two days later, I brought up the issue again, showing the person at the front desk the website, which stated that the booking included "airport transportation, complementary." They appeared incredulous, and got the manager on the phone, who offered to hire a taxi for my departure, for a rate of 120RMB, to be PAID BY ME. This breach of contract was very disturbing -- for me the matter of principle was primary, not the cost of a round-trip taxi ride. The hotel has nonchalantly breached its contract, but I am requesting my credit card company to withhold the amount I paid for the taxi transportation, hoping that this action will cause the hotel to honor
its commitments with integrity in the future. The room itself was comfortable, clean, quiet and well-provisioned. Too
bad the whole experience was marred by the management's blatant, obvious lack of honesty.
My second staying here. I thought to share something new for the future guests. Wifi does not work at the room all the time, sometimes comes and then gone. Very frustrating, so need to check e-mails by going to the lobby.
For breakfast, I asked the chef to make a white egg omelets first day and he did but second and third day, he said that he is not cooking. Breakfast is Chinese so expect typical greasy food.
Room's carpet need to be change, they look dirty. Otherwise, the hotel is good and quite area, Subway is 10 minutes by bus ride. Front desk staffs speak very little English but workable.

Should be 3 star hotel
Stayed one night. Enjoyed it because of the quite location. Need to walk 10 minutes down the hill to get to some restaurants and amenities.
Hard to get a taxi from the hotel, so need to walk 3/4 minutes to the main road.
The best value I know for a large comfortable room in a park setting in the middle of Guangzhou. Guests are mostly Chinese. The hotel is owned by the Party and is in a complex that includes the gold depository in Guangzhou next door. An excellent Cantonese restaurant with samplings from other provinces in part of the complex. Tasty dim sum is available in the a la carte breakfast (breakfast buffet is included in the higher scale rooms).

Frequent satisfied visitor
I have stayed at the King Garden more than 20 times. The value is exceptional. The hotel is located in an oasis compound in the middle of Guangzhou, Health club with pool (extra cost), a first class restaurant, an extensive breakfast buffet that leans toward Chinese tastes bu includes western choices. Excellent meeting facilities and blissful quiet in the midst of a generally noisy city.

Good location and clean rooms
It was overall comfortable, however he breakfast is a disaster ! Showers needs to be cleaned more to avoid fungus and microbes in the edges ...
Not as clean as similar star hotel in china, I would say it is 2 star. Location is close to the city. They CHARGE for tooth paste and brush which I never seen before.
