Top Greenland Hotel Reviews

HOTEL SØMA Ilulissat
10/10 Excellent
"Clean nice rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice view from the room."

Hotel Arctic
10/10 Excellent
"Outstanding hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had one of the aurora cabins. The views were amazing. The front desk staff was very helpful. The Loop gym was incredible, the machines were in good condition and incredibly excellent. The food was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was huge and all excellent. Martin our sommelier took good care of us at dinner. All and all an outstanding hotel, highly recommended."

Nuuk Hotel Apartments by HHE
10/10 Excellent
"If not aware, check in occurs at HHE. The apartments are a short 5ish minute walk away. The facilities are nice, including the rare gym amenities that include proper functioning equipment. If you stay at the apartments you do have access to the HHE facilities. Wi-Fi was fast and overall Nuuk is an easily walkable city with most things you need being with 5 minutes walking. The only "complaint" is that the blinds in the room could have been better. One was practically non existent and the other did not really block out much light. Depending on when you go, the sunset can set way past "bed time" so being able to have a dark room would be prime."

Hotel Hans Egede
8/10 Good
"Centrally located. Had a happy hour in their sky bar. Rooms small but clean and well thought out. The metal steps to get into the hotel with bigger luggage was a negative; they should offer a ramp for those in need."

Kulukis Downtown Hostel
8/10 Good
"Pleasant enough and reasonably well located, with walking distance from Nuuk's center of activity as 5 to 15 minutes, Nuuk's historic old town as about 10 to 15 minutes, and the port at around 25 minutes walking. Rooms are small but have the essentials. The blackout shades during the summer midnight-sun months are only partially effective as they allow light in at the edges. The place is mostly quiet as long as the guests are courteous, as they usually are. Note that the place may not have hot water for showering during daytime hours after check-out time at 10 am and before check-in time at 4 pm. Note also for anyone with walking challenges that there is a bit of a short, steep rock incline and over a dozen stairs just to enter the place."

Hotel Nordbo
10/10 Excellent
"This was a fine hotel - very clean, very accommodating (they gave us extra towels and cleaned the room whenever we asked), and it was much cheaper than the Hans Egede which is not any better but much more expensive. Breakfast and dinner were great - and to our surprise, the hotel gave us a free pork loin dinner on our last night there. It's a :10 walk from the hotel to central Nuuk but very close to the famous harbor and several bars and restaurants."

HOTEL SØMA Nuuk
8/10 Good
"Good hotel for 3 to 4 stars. Not so good location, and the facilities were outdated"

Ilimanaq Lodge - World of Greenland
10/10 Excellent
"This was one of the most gorgeous and unique places I have ever stayed. The cabin design and location were spectacular, but the placement within the small settlement of Ilimanaq was the truly special part. Also the staff was all beyond lovely and helpful, from the delicious meals, to the front desk, to the tour guides everyone was perfect. One note, which I didn't fully appreciate before arriving, it is not day-trip commutable to Ilulissat because the ice can make the boat trip anywhere from ~1.5-3 hours. Plan your itinerary to be in Ilimanaq for at least two full days, there are plenty of beautiful hikes."

Best Western Plus Hotel Ilulissat
8/10 Good
"I arrived early and was told checking in was till 2pm which was okay, however other people checked in before me were told 2 pm but were still able to check in The reception staff gave very brief answers on where things were eg post office, 15 mins walk down the road. Not what road or where to turn etc Felt like more effort could be made to make people feel welcome."
