"We enjoyed our stay at this cabin overall, and the location was truly a highlight. The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful, and made for a very relaxing getaway.While the cabin itself has a lot of charm and potential, we felt it would benefit from some much-needed TLC. A deep cleaning is needed, as there were cobwebs on several light fixtures and moths and other bugs accumulated in the window tracks. We also noticed a broken towel bar in one bathroom, a window lock broken completely off and sitting on the sill in another bathroom (making it impossible to lock that window), and areas of cracked or missing plaster along the stairwell walls. Additionally the patio furniture cushions appeared to have been left outside for an extended period as they were not only dirty, but several had been torn up by wildlife making them unusable.We did report these issues upon arrival, and the rental management company was responsive. They offered to send someone out to repair the broken items, which we appreciated. We declined because the issues were not significant enough to impact our stay, and we preferred not to have maintenance workers in the cabin during our vacation.Despite the issues, we still enjoyed our time at the cabin. However, given its current condition and price point, we would not choose to stay here again unless the maintenance and cleaning concerns were addressed. With a little care and upkeep, this could easily be a fantastic place to stay."

"the house is very beautiful and looks as pictured. however it was not clean. there’s pet hair on the beds and couches. the carpets are dirty and you cannot walk barefoot without your feet turning black. also, there’s no air conditioning, and during the day the heat is BRUTAL. for reference, it was around 80 degrees during our trip. also important to know the host is a local vacation rental company. they are responsive through their own channels, but incredibly unresponsive through Vrbo messaging. you have to reach out to them directly. despite the flaws, though, Can’t beat the view."

"We loved the cabin it was as stunning as the pictures and the videos that are posted. Everything was as we expected. However, the blinds in the master suites are not black out. Not sure what they are. Not even sure they are privacy blinds and the sun comes directly in in the morning. You will need eye masks to sleep if you want to stay in bed past 6:00 a.m. There are a lot of rules to follow in Big Bear, which is not a reflection on the cabin at all, but make sure you know the rules or you will be disappointed. Your trash has to be transported out, you can't have more people or cars at your cabin than what you put in the rental when you sign up, you can't have people visit without prior authorization and no parties. As a rule follower, I was constantly worried I was breaking one rule or another and it was a bit stressful on that count. Great cabin though if you are comfortable with all the rules."
