"It was a nice place and clean until we pulled the sofa bed out and it was dirty, a quick hover wouldn't have done it any harm. Overall its a nice place to stay, we did try and phone the numbers given to inform of the condition of the sofa bed however not one number was answered, we ended up getting the caretaker, who was 100% helpful"

The Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"Superior room was excellent, welcoming and well presented on arrival. The guests living room was a great place to spend a cosy evening in front of the wood burning stove. Breakfast was excellent, fresh produce and good choice, and the fresh eggs were memorable. The electric charge point was a bonus.

"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"
"Plas y ward is absolutely brilliant, if you want a peaceful relaxing break with beautiful scenery all around you then this is the place.. We have been a few times now and we love it every time we have visited, really lovely hosts Liza and Richard leave you to enjoy your break but are always happy to help anyway they can if needed. Comfortable bed and a hot tub to relax in day or night. Would 1000% recommend it. "
"A great stay.Myself and family (7 of us including grandchildren aged 5 and 2) stayed here for 4 nights as we were in the area for a wedding. The contact with the host was excellent and the accommodation was plenty big enough for all of us to spend time together or equally to have some quiet time. There was plenty of storage space and all the kitchen equipment we needed. We were left fresh baked bread, butter and milk on arrival which was very gratefully received. The area was very peaceful and the children loved going to feed to chickens and collect eggs in the morning. The farmhouse needs a little tlc in some areas but this is an older property so only to be expected but this did not negatively affect our stay at all.I would recommend this property to others and we would stay again if back in the area. "Bed was comfortable, but one of them is on the window side of the curtain, so not ideal.
Nice bathroom, great shower. The door needs fixing so it closes, and a lock fitting.

"This house is quite a large house in the heart of Ruthin, a lovely town with plenty of history and food options. The location was wonderful- easy to access Snowdonia and the many incredible castles of Wales, just a short drive from Manchester. The house had plenty of room, dining room table was huge as well. One of the main rooms was in the basement, and unfortunately the toilet would only work part of the time. That room was nice and cool, and would stay dark even in the long sunny days. Two of the beds weren’t made upon arrival, so I had to find a couple of sheets elsewhere to use. As charming as the house is (historically), it is showing its age in the bathrooms and floors specifically. I wasn’t able to get our check in information until I asked, past check-in time on the day of our arrival- which made us all quite nervous, traveling in a group of 10. You do have to pay close to 5 pounds to park each day in the car park, which is a very short walk. The parking behind the house has an incredibly narrow road (meant for horse and buggy!), so you may get back there if you have a very small, narrow car. "
