Göta Canal

We arrived late afternoon after a busy day of meetings. Check in was fine, but we wanted a beer to relax after a busy day and the bar was closed with staff not particularly interested in helping. In the 3 weeks since, we have stayed at other hotels in Solna for that reason

the court yards were really nice to be able to relax in away from the traffic, very peaceful. The breakfast buffet was amazing, lots of choices and great hours also.

The hotel has some ups and downs. Staff is great - were very helpful and were proactive in switching me to a better room after the 1st one I received did not fitting to the hotel level and cost (small, old, poor maintanance). The new room had undergone some renovation and was much better (but at this level of hotel, you usually get better value). The breakfast is excellent. Great location The gym is very well stocked but not easy to find. The rooftop pool (which is advertized as part of the facilities) is only accessible at an additional fee (which is the 1st time I have experienced this). Overall, it is a good hotel but you have better options in the city that give better VFM.
