Air conditioning in the living room and upstairs bedrooms.
Two king-size bedrooms and a full bathroom comfortably accommodate 4 adults. A smaller (downstairs) bedroom with a single bed is suitable for an additional adult or a child.
There is a living room with separate dining room, and the large fully-equipped kitchen is ideal if you prefer to eat-in. Free WiFi is available throughout the main living areas.
Equipment can be safely stored in the laundry room, accessible by the back door.
Gorham is a gateway to over 1400 miles of ATV trail systems and 6 interconnected parks (including Jericho State Park). There are numerous hiking trails and ATV / snowmobile trails within easy reach. Rentals are available from “Northeast” or "White Mt ATV" on Main Street. You can ride right from the house along Main St (between Lancaster Road and Bangor St) to the trails! See https://gorhamnhoutdoors.com/ohrv-rules-gorham/ for details.
It's a short walk to Subway, Big Day Brewing and local cafés, as well as Gorham Common and Grand Trunk station (railway museum). Walmart is an 8-minute drive and Dollar General is a 10-minute walk away.
Surrounded by mountains and nestled between the White Mountains Highway (NH Route 16) and Route 2 in Gorham, we are conveniently situated for travel to nearby North Conway (NH) and Bethel, Maine.
Close to Mount Washington (Auto Road - 10 mins to the base area), Great Glen Trails (10 mins), Wildcat ski area (<15 mins) and numerous hiking trails including Tuckerman's Ravine - trailhead located by the Appalachian Mountain Club visitor center in Pinkham Notch. Sunday River and Attitash are both <35 minutes away, Cranmore Mountain and Bretton Woods are 40 minutes away.
The Androscoggin River can be accessed from Main St (Route 2) near Gorham Airport and Howland Ave. For river adventures, check out North Woods Rafting just up Rt 16 in Milan.
For family days out, Santa’s Village and Story Land / Living Shores Aquarium are all under half an hour away.
Please note: This is an OLD house and as such has its creaks and quirks. The floors are not all level, the walls are crooked in places and there will be random noises but nothing to worry about. Some guests consider that the stairs are fairly steep but the handrails help with this.
Be aware that if you stay during the week, you may be disturbed by the freight trains (SLR 393 / 394) that pass through Gorham around midnight and blast their horn. The town clock chimes on the hour every hour, so can be heard if the windows are open.
For our joint protection, there is a motion-triggered security camera on the front door and above the back door, pointing away from the house itself.

The house was as described and the owners provided good information about the area and the house. The house was spotless all instructions provided were accurate and easy to follow.
The home was cute and charming and centrally located. The hosts communicated very well ahead of arrival and made the process easy. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
The house was awesome. We had one very small issue and I reached out to Jenny and Paul by email and the issue was resolved immediately. We had everything we needed and there is plenty of space for sure. We would love to stay again maybe in the warmer weather as there is a really nice deck for use as well.
A comfortable house allowing us to work from the house. The wifi was strong enough to allow my husband and I to work in the morning and then visit with family in the area. The house is conveniently located in Gorham which is a friendly town with several good restaurants and little shops. The kitchen appliances and supplies were perfect for the cooking that we did. The beds were comfortable. The owners answered questions quickly. We would definitely stay at the house again if we are in the area.
We had a great weekend here! Less than 15 mins from Wildcat Mountain. The house had everything you could need for a weekend skiing. It comfortably fit 4 adults, and there was a bedroom to spare. We enjoyed going to Big Day Brewing after a day of skiing. We got lots of snow one day, and the driveway was plowed so we did not have to worry about snow removal. The hosts were nice and responsive. Next time we ski at wildcat we would stay here again! Thanks Jenny and Paul!
Pros:
We thought the property was great, beds were comfortable, centrally located, great appliances, washer and dryer was extremely helpful, the games were great for family time.
Cons:
Not enough towels, no air conditioning, no outdoor patio seating at all, the biggest issue for my self and my family was the cameras. I get the whole thing about security but the camera in the back is pointed directly on the deck leaving zero outdoor privacy. who's watching? Extremely uncomfortable. My 13 year old girls were very uneasy about this. It says in the description that the security cameras are not pointed at the house. One camera is in the front porch as you walk in, the other is on the rear deck just a personal thing for us especially with to young girls.
Perfect location! House was as advertised. It was very clean and had a lot of room. Great communication with the owners and they gave great details that made arrival & check out very easy.
Place was very clean very spacious was comfortable close to town. The renters were very helpful. Answered any questions that we needed answering very relaxing experience
