"The cottage was amazing, stunning views of countryside & sea from all directions ! The snug room with wood burning stove (bring your own wood) was so warm & cosy! Perfect for chilly winter evenings! We particularly appreciated the sun room with rocking chairs & blankets with spectacular views, perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea. We loved that the garden was very secure for our dog giving us peace of mind, particularly as sheep graze right outside. Perfect place for a relaxing break! "

"This was a return visit as we loved the friendly staff and locals. Special treat for our Irish Wolfhound because my wife was on antibiotics so timing meant she couldn't have her breakfast... so guess who got it instead. Very happy dog though I think the chef felt his skills were not being tested given she likes her eggs raw. So yes they are very dog friendly, and the food for us humans was excellent as well."

Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special.
