Saluda Family Retreat for 12-Pups welcome!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this lovely home in Saluda, NC. The owners have outdone themselves in accommodating their guests. The house is well appointed with anything you can think of that you may need to enjoy a getaway. Labeled light switches and detailed notebook of property is a plus. The kitchen is fully stocked. If you need an item or gadget to cook with, it’s already there. The coffee bar was an unexpected treat; located just steps away from sipping coffee on the expansive deck and enjoy a cool mountain morning. A comfy seating area on the front porch is also an inviting place to enjoy solitude, a beverage or conversation. There is also a fire pit in the back yard…perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the stars in the night sky. The bathrooms have very nice showers, complete with dispensers of body wash, shampoo and conditioners (just like an upscale hotel). The beds are very comfortable. We all enjoyed the pool table, foosball table, darts and a bookcase filled with fun games on the lower level. Our grandsons, especially, enjoyed having their own television/seating area on this level, too. The main level has a very comfortable sectional style sofa and a large dining table that easily accommodates a family. There are multiple televisions throughout the home and the all-important Wi-Fi. We can’t think of anything that was lacking from this property or that we missed from not being in our own home. We are looking forward to returning!"

"This home was absolutely perfect. I’m still obsessed with how comfortable the master bed was — honestly one of the coziest stays we’ve had. The whole house just felt warm and relaxing from the second we walked in. Everyone loved the ping pong table, and getting visits from June Bug the donkey and the Highland cow made the experience even more special. The only downside was not having enough time to fully enjoy the porch views and soak in all the coziness. We already want to come back, especially for a relaxing girls’ weekend!"

"Cabin has a beautiful location! If you are looking for a peaceful setting this is the right place. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious and the whole cabin had a homey feel. Lots of seating in the living room and kitchen. The loft space is perfect for older kids to hang out. The creek also kept kids very busy. We hiked big and little bradley falls while here and the town of Saluda is very nice to walk around. Pearson falls is within walking distance and should be opening back up in June."

"Very nicely equipped and decorated basement apartment! Very responsive hosts! Definitely a five star stay. We loved the hot tub and pool table, as well as the PAC-man game during our downtime. The snacks and waters were a nice surprise upon our arrival as well. Their cat Zipper was very sweet and a big hit with my daughter.One thing I would have liked to see the listing mention is that the owners/hosts do live on-site, upstairs. It wasn’t an issue and we never heard them and only saw them in passing once, while outside turning our car around in front of the house. I suspected the owners may live on-site and could have asked ahead of time, but it wasn’t a big deal to us, aside from being a bit concerned that our dogs might disturb them by whining or barking while we were away from the apartment for a family function that we couldn’t bring the dogs along for. I messaged to express my concern and the hosts were so gracious, assuring me that the insulation was very good and that they were sure it wouldn’t be an issue. I only mention it for those that might want a completely private property.I also want to thank the hosts for their sweet messages to our family about the purpose of our trip, which was for my father-in-law’s memorial/celebration of life. Very much appreciated!"
