「Remote staff consistent with many nice hotels in small towns. Clean and comfortable. Spartan, but all expected accoutrements provided (blow dryer). No outside windows but that helps with sleeping late and is expected when an old mercantile is converted to hostelry. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. 」

Four adults easily felt at home using the three bedrooms, we never had any issues with hot water or heat, as we were there during a very cold spell of temps in the upper 20s and 30s. As the driveway is not paved, I would recommend a dedicated place near the front door for shoes. Also, the batteries for the fireplace remote need replacing, as well as some lightbulbs in the lamps. 「This place was a perfect place for us and our 4 young children, ages 12-4. They played soccer in the yard and watched the sheep while we were there, and it was close to Colorado Bend State Park. It was fun to go to the park during the day then come relax in the evening and watch/listen to the sheep, make some dinner, and watch the beautiful sunset in the evening. We all slept great, too, thanks to the solitude/darkness/silence of the area and the beds being comfy enough! The stars were amazing. 」
