Booked for 6 nights but ended up staying for 3 weeks. It’s an intimate resort nestled next to a black sand beach away from the main tourists areas, which allows for a more authentic Bali experience. It features four spacious villas, filled with beautiful artwork the owner has collected. Made, the property’s driver, is a wonderful host and is filled with recommendations and will graciously take you any place you want to go. The staff is warm and wonderful and will treat you like family. The talented onsite chef will fill your belly with an endless array of delicious dishes, and there is something for even the pickiest eaters. If you are an animal lover, the owner will let you play with his dogs. There’s also an onsite DJ, Hypunx, a virtuoso behind the decks, who despite his name will remind you of sunshine. The owner lives onsite part of the year and if you are lucky enough to visit while he is there, he may ask you to join him for dinner, which is a must. The Villa is an incredibly special place. While I visited as a solo traveler, it would be the perfect spot for a destination wedding or other celebration. The owner wouldn’t be satisfied unless I said that it’s not the Four Seasons because he doesn’t want to oversell it and he’s right the Villa is something entirely different - it’s nirvana. Love you all.

Amazing!

This villa is stunning! Very spacious! Such a peaceful and quiet villa. They had a fish tank which was so beautiful. There was kitchen amenities. Bedroom was huge, bathroom was breathtaking! The pool is lovely. The garden was lovely. They offer 24hr service. The cellphone was ordering was quite clever and worked well for me. The staff was so kind. The food was good, they had several options.

My family stayed at Villa L'Orange during Thanksgibing holiday and had a wonderful time. Rendy is very kind and attentive. The meals were great with a chef who can make custom orders. The villa is spacious and comfortable. It is decorated simply and beautifully. We felt right at home and all of the staff was so helpful. Not far from Ubud, we were able to arrange our sightseeing very easily from the villa.

A beautiful oasis. Better than the photos.

This place is amazing. The photos don’t do it justice. The gardens are immaculate. The pool is pristine. We had massages by the pool with the sound of waves crashing on the beach and a beautiful breeze. The 2 bedroom villa we stayed in (2 adults, 2 kids) was massive. The outside bathroom was a wonderful experience - there was both a shower and a massive bath. The service was fantastic. The food was really tasty and there was a great range for lunch and dinner which you could order any time and eat on your villa terrace while looking out over the pool and gardens. The villa has its own driver Made who was extremely helpful and attentive. Staff and the manager would regularly check in with you if you needed anything. The location was absolutely perfect for the Safari Park - only a 10 minute walk away. We booked the night safari - it was so easy as we didn’t have to spend hours driving before and after. The hotel can do a discounted deal with the Safari Park. Although the beach wasn’t a traditional swimming beach, the kids really enjoyed walking on the beach and experiencing the glittering black volcanic sand. The surrounding village was very peaceful. Great place to relax away from the bustle of typical tourist locations.

Lovely little slice of tranquility

Service was amazing and the villa was in great condition! Sadly we were only there one night enroute to another location but we would definitely return! Upon a late arrival, we were immediately shown to our villa and given a quick but comprehensive overview and asked to order breakfast for the next morning. Even though the kitchen was closed we were offered toast and drinks if we wanted, which was a nice touch. The pool the next day was lovely and well maintained as well.

Vom Empfang am Flughafen bis zum Abschied am Flughafen wurden wir mit einer einmaligen Herzlichkeit umsorgt und es wurde Alles was wir an Wünschen hatten , wie Ausflüge und das Besorgen von Andenken zu " local "-Preisen nach unseren Vorstellungen ermöglicht.Das gesamte Hotelpersonal war rund um die Uhr bemüht uns unvergessliche Tage zu bereiten . Das Frühstück wurde gewünschten Zeit auf unserer Terrasse serviert , die Grünanlage war schon gepflegt wurden und mit dem Blick auf den Vulkan und das Meer begann so jeder Tag. Hatte man irgendeinen Wunsch reichte ein Anruf und es wurde ermöglicht . Die reichhaltige Speisekarte (wo die Preise nicht wesentlich teurer sind wie außerhalb der Anlage , für vergleichbare Gerichte) , hat es uns schwer gemacht das Hotel zu verlassen um wie bei Touristen so üblich in Warong`s zu essen. Da die ganze Anlage mit vier Villen recht privat angelegt ist ,war es entspannender und wunderschöner Urlaub.

A Great Choice in Bali

The staff at Villa l'Orange really made us feel at home. The driver, Made, deserves special mention. He was a great guide for our visits to area temples and other attractions, and also took us to some interesting local "warungs" (small cafes) that catered to locals. The beachfront location was quite tranquil, with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains.

Nice and quite hotel away from the busy city

Overall - we did enjoy the stay at L'orange Villa. There is a special atmosphere that you can feel there... The staff make everything different and they just amazing: friendly, helpfull, smiling... The furniture in the villa is quite old, starting with the doors and going to the kitchen stuff. Talking about one, there is no cooker in the kitchen. Only a sink, fridge and some stowedges. Villa is located just right on the beach and the wonderful point that you can listen an ocean noise while in your bad. However there is no way to swim or stay at the beach, you have got only beach view I would say. Plus every morning and days off you can see the local people come there for washing themself, regularly on the daily base - using a beach as a toilet ... which wasn't a pleasant thing to see every morning. Swimming pool is not huge but good enough to have a good swim and it has a deeper side as well. There is no transportation in that area so you have to pay double or tripple price for a ride in comparing with other tourists who stay in Bali. And it is also quite hard to get any driver over there actually. There is no restaurants (except one local place 7 mints walking from the villa) , shopping areas, bars, cafes,walking areas in that area. And there is no restaurant at the L'orange Villa, they have few tables outside where they serve food from the Room Service menu. The dogs at the hotel are just amazing, we all did enjoy their company! :)

Excellent Service

Quiet part of the island. Excellent service and wonderful staff. Ideal for quiet getaway away from all the tourist spots.
