This is our second time staying at the condos at Winterplace. If you haven't stayed at Winterplace before- it is a bit outdated. I am always underwhelmed when I get there, but we leave with great memories.
I loved the location of this condo! The lower level made loading and unloading the car much easier, especially since there are 5 of us and we had a ton of stuff. I also liked not having to climb the stairs in ski boots.
BRING TOWELS- This condo does not have any towels- no bath towels, hand towels, kitchen towels (or pot holders). I'm so glad I read the fine print on this in the car before we got there, so I was able to pick some up at Walmart. I would have been so upset if we arrived there after a long drive to find we needed to go back into town for towels. The wood burning fireplace was great! We finally found somewhere local to get firewood next to the restaurant, Eatalian, though we might have found some cheaper if we drove further into town. It would have been nice to have a dryer. The weather was extra cold and wet this trip. Our stuff would get coated in ice. My husband made many runs to the laundry room on the second floor to dry all our ski clothes out for the next day. Thankfully, the one dryer they have was always available. We went through a lot of quarters. The beds are comfortable, which is always a big deal for me. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the owner was gracious enough to let us check-out late, so we were able to ski in the morning before we left.
