Incredible Views

We were in the area for a gift show and family vacation. The trek up the mountain the first time was a little scary, but once at the top, the view was well worth it. The unit was perfect for the 5 of us. While it does sleep 8, it would feel a little tight with more than 5. The indoor pool and hot tub are close and we had a nice time there. The kitchen has all you need to make a meal. Our only complaint would be that when we pulled out the sofa bed it didn’t look like the sheets had been changed and there was popcorn forked up in the bed, but it didn’t ruin our trip at all. The telescope is a nice touch and the kids really enjoyed that.

Big thing that people should be aware of.... the drive in and out of here isn't for the faint of heart. We actually had a few people feeling sick after the steep and curvy climb up the mountain. On the way down, you need to be sure you have good brakes! Some very steep spots, and several spots where you see cars are bottoming out. The view from the room is great, but just be aware that if it's raining and/or dark, that climb isn't fun at all. I think this is a better place for a couple to stay for a weekend, if you plan to not leave much, but for a family that wants to come and go fairly often, it's really not a very convenient location. The room really is nice, but you do have to lug everything up the stairs... no other option. But, if you love wonderful views, it really is top notch there.
