"Great location and very good price. We stayed after a concert. So literally just slept there. Good that some parking was available too. V basic room but clean & airy. Tea and coffee facilities were good. No towels for bathroom or hand soap so that was abit of a shame. "This was booked for a night before the Take That concert. Although it was booked a very long time ago it was very expensive, £367. We expected a high standard hotel. The bedroom was large but on the shabby side as was the bathroom. The table was marked as was the dressing table. There was a well used looking Nepresso with only 1 pod of each of coffee so we both couldn't have decaf. The beds were very comfortable with 3 different types of firmness of pillow, which was appreciated The breakfast options were plentiful but the cooked breakfast items were only luke warm and there wasn't any gluten free bread available. Would I stay there again? Probably not as there are many hotels nearby that are a higher standard for less money."

"You get what you pay for... or so I thought, until I was talking to fellow travellers. They were raging about the cost of this budget hotel. I thought it was reasonably priced. It is basic, no frills, no vending machine, nowhere to put your clothes except a peg on the wall or a bench. That said, the bed was comfortable and there was a fan in the room. This was really useful given the air con didn't appear to be controllable. I reduced the setting to cool down from 30 degree weather outside and it hovered at 26 degree so not really worth the noise. I asked to use a hair dryer and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I also was given a room early without a problem. Altho' there's not a lot of amenities in the hotel, the staff were really helpful in signposting me. Improvements i'd recommend are 1] move the mirror closer to the one double plug in the room. 2] put in an additional plug beside the bed and 3] fix the aircon and put instructions into the room!"

"After reading recent reviews we brought our own bedding thankfully. First impressions on entering the property was that it was basically an MRO or like a Uni accommodation. The carpets were fairly new which was something. We were in room 22 right at the top of the house which was ok. We entered the key code in to the room but basically a good hard shove would have probably opened it. Well Stripped back the duvet from the beds to find p…. Hair on one of them. So we we were t going to use that one as there were only 2 of us. There were crumbs over the chair. We didn’t think it had been cleaned but turns out it had been. I switched the fan but It was hanging on by a wire and the noise!!. Sent a text to get a new fan but that didn’t come. The beds were lumpy. Springs missing. We moved one of the mattresses on top of the bed that we were not going to use by the window as we would have not been able to breathe in the night. The bed base was broke and there was a small plastic bag on it. Obvious what that was used for. There was a kettle and tea and coffee that was the best bit about it. The carpet was clean so we felt ok to put our bags on it. The bathroom would of been ok if the tap wasn’t broken and there was no hot water from the tap or shower!! Tv did not work and shower tray filled up with water. Loft cover was open so we worried about someone jumping out. Pictures show towels but there weren’t any, we always bring our own but total false advertising"
