A Cool Change Too, on Lake Lanier with a dock
Perfect space for families and for gathering to enjoy Lake Lanier! Our family's home is all about family & friends getting together and having fun. The spaces in the home are very socially engaging. Take a short 1-minute walk (100 yards on a moderate slope to the dock) to the lake in our quiet cove and go for an evening canoe. It's pretty special. Bring your own boat and tie up at the dock if you prefer. The home has amazingly fast internet, streaming media on the televisions, SONOS whole home audio system, games for the entire family, gas grill, multiple decks to enjoy the setting by the lake, pool table, and a kitchen that is very well appointed. At Lanier Vacation Rentals, our goal is to provide a 5-star experience beyond anything you would expect. As an added benefit, Lanier Vacation Rentals has partnered with a local pontoon boat company. Lanier Vacation Rentals Guests, have the opportunity to take advantage of a heavily discounted pontoon boat rental that can be delivered to your dock during your stay! Send us a note and let us know how we can make your experience 5-star!
The "FULL POOL" LAKE LANIER LAKE LEVEL is 1,071" above sea level. At full pool there is 4'6" of water under the dock. We have no warning of the Army Corps of Engineers plan regarding control of lake levels. Guests should check to make sure this elevation is appropriate for their needs. Spring / Summers are typically at or above Full Pool. Double check lake level elevations online, to see if the current levels meet your needs.

The house was perfect for our family which includes 2 older teenagers. We love the quiet road and the whole family enjoyed the downstairs amenities. The beds were very comfortable and towels were soft. Would definitely stay again
The house is well equipped. There was plenty to do and it was wonderful to watch the Deers roam around in the backyard. We even saw a beaver and I’ve never seen a beaver before and it’s natural habitat. This is a great place if you just love nature.
We were looking for a place where we could celebrate my mom’s 89th birthday. This home was perfect for size! It was very clean and provided games and a pool table for extra fun. We made several short trips to the dock where you could rent kayaks if you wanted. The hammock was extra relaxing and being outside in this beautiful area was icing on the cake!!! We would definitely rent again!!!!
The home was perfect for our family! The upstairs was perfect for quiet time and the downstairs worked well for the younger kids to play as well as their parents to enjoy a game of pool or a movie. We will certainly stay again if we are in the area.
This lake house had more than enough amenities to make the perfect stay for our group. Everyone was entertained and the hosts have honestly thought of everything to make your stay as easy as possible. The house is clean and all bedding and furniture is in great condition.
Highly recommend the place if you're looking for a nice quiet cottage. Unfortunately the quay was unusable as water levels were too low to enjoy it, and it was covered with leaves and not cleaned for use. Im guessing its only usable in summer. In any case, the reste of the property was good.
We enjoyed our stay! Scott was very communicative and answered any questions we had promptly. It's a bit of a hike down to the lake, but the paddleboards and kayak that were available were awesome! The kids loved their den downstairs with all the games, TV, pool table, and more.
We had a wonderful time, and the house was lovely. We played pool and watched football as well! We had assumed that we could walk the lake being that we were told that it was a 1 minute walk to get there. Other than that is was a great time!
Last minute booking for a family emergency. Fanatastic communication. Fully stocked kitchen with everything we could need to actually cook. The suave was amazing, clean, and quiet.
They thought of everything! The house was nice, it was clean which is always my main concern. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen seemed to have everything one would need. We were in town for a family gathering so we were never there long enough to cook or do much besides shower sleep and go again. There are all kinds of games. A great place to stay and relax. So much more pleasant than a hotel and you’re able to be outdoors on the deck and enjoy nature and fresh air. I’m glad we found it! We may stay there again sometime.
The home is so nice. Beds comfy lots of kids and adult games. We came to the area to attend family baptism and birthday party. Kitchen is small but very well stocked. Scott was quick to respond as I bothered him about TV instructions and Internet password. Only sadness was the lake water is down , dock sits in mud and we were unable to play at all out there 😢
We enjoyed our stay. Lake Lanier is beautiful. The house was great. It had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for my teenagers to hang out. We enjoyed playing games and playing pool. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the deer. Probably the only negative would be the steep path to and from the dock. I don't remember if that was mentioned in
the description for the house/dock. Overall, we give this place 5 stars.
We celebrated my boyfriends birthday here and we had such a fun time! The place is beautiful and the Scott was so helpful throughout the whole stay, we will definitely be back!
We traveled from Michigan for a graduation open house and this was the perfect home to house all 9 of us. The home was clean and host was very attentive. I highly recommend!
My family needed to relocate for a couple of days on short notice and Cool Change Too was the perfect solution!
The house is quite charming and the owners have truly thought of everything. We were so impressed with the well appointed kitchen, super soft sheets, and awesome rec/game room. And, my autistic son loved the giant bean bag chair!!
What could have been an inconvenience for my family turned into a wonderful mini-vacation. The peaceful surroundings allowed for total relaxation (which included deer watching) while still being convenient to shopping, restaurants, etc.
This was my first experience with Vrbo and Lanier Vacation Rentals and the bar has been set very high!!
We recently rented a property primarily for its boat dock, canoe, and paddleboards, but our experience was unfortunately marred by several significant issues. Upon our arrival, we discovered that a large tree had fallen on the dock, rendering it unusable and crushing part of the structure. This was particularly disappointing since we had planned to use the dock for our rented boat, which was supposed to be delivered to the property. To make matters worse, the fridge downstairs was not functioning, and we found that there were no darts for the dartboard. The main TV remote was also missing, which added to our frustrations. After multiple attempts to contact the property manager , we finally received a response where he acknowledged the dock issue but stated that repairs would not occur until the following week. This lack of urgency was disheartening. In the meantime, we had to make an unexpected trip to Walmart to purchase a cooler and darts, which was not part of our plan. While Scott managed to arrange for us to use the neighbor's dock for the boat, the access involved a long, steep walk down a poorly defined path, which ultimately led to an unfortunate fall for me. I ended up scraping my arm and knee, and my sandal broke, which added insult to injury.Upon further investigation, I found that a previous reviewer had reported the fallen tree weeks before our stay, yet they continued to list the property as it was without addressing this critical safety concern.
We were so impressed! The hosts think of everything...Spices, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, games galore! This house really felt like a home and we were so excited to have our families under one roof for the 4th. The bedrooms were comfortable with robes for all. The bathrooms were beautifully redone (shower in master, tub in guest). The kitchen is small but so well designed amd stocked, it almost more convenient than home. They aren't kidding about the internet, we had 3 adults working the whole week, and all the teenagers' phones attached and the tvs were still streaming the ballgames perfectly. The dock was great and with the kayak and 2 paddle boards, the teens were out of the house more than in. (The walk back up is no joke, but will keep the backside in shape and make tge calories worth it). The basement is probably the best hangout space we've ever seen. SO many games, tons of seating, great tv, darts, bar with mini-fridge, full shower bath, and a perfect teen bedroom with a place for them to chill or play video games.
What really made the trip for us were the porches. They are wide and run the length of the house, top and bottom. Perfect place for sunning (or shading), eating, chatting around the firetable, grilling, or taking a nap on the hammock. The boys had an epic cornhole tournament! Our hosts were super helpful and responsive amd we will most certainly be back!!!
