Staying at the Hobbit was wonderful. The hosts were so pleasant, the cabin was welcoming and perfect. Gabriola island is a treat. The breakfasts were delicious.

Hosts were super friendly!

We had a great stay on Gabriola. The hosts were super friendly, breakfast was great, and the location was only a couple minutes from the ferry and the wood fire restaurant.

We had a nice stay at the Hobbit House. Nancy was a wonderful host- very easy to communicate with, and so welcoming of myself, my three friends, and my dog. The place is a functional spot- works just fine as a base camp and had everything we needed/expected. The home itself was a bit damp/humid- totally fine, but just something we noticed. Great value, and the hot breakfast included was such a lovely touch! Thanks for a lovely stay on Gabriola!

Relaxing stay at The Hobbit

We used The Hobbit as our base for a three night trip for Gabriola. Clean, comfortable and well hosted by an available but privacy-respecting couple (Nancy and Gregory), we really enjoyed out stay. Breakfasts were a nice touch and were well tailored to our considerable dietary needs. Would absolutely stay again.

We had such a lovely stay here. It was very tranquil peaceful and the hosts were just spectacular. All the little details that these guys add make such a big difference and let me tell you that breakfast that they make, is absolutely delicious. We took our infant, who is only nine months old and our puppy, and they made a little puppy plate and a little plate for our boy. We had such a lovely day and created some fantastic memories and hope to be back. We cannot thank these hosts enough.

Gabriola getaway

Fantastic location, close to everything and a nice quiet area for walking. The Hobbit had everything we needed and was comfy and so quiet! We really appreciated that dogs are welcome. Gregory, Nancy, Surfer and Tiki are perfect hosts! And the breakfasts......ooooh the breakfasts! : ) We can't wait to stay again.

Hobbit lives up to its whimsical name.

Hosts are friendly, thoughtful, kind. Good recommendations for hiking and restaurants. Healthy breakfasts provided. Host interaction was much appreciated, enjoyable and memorable. Delightful, caring couple you would want as neighbors.

we were so pleased with our stay at Hobbit at Canopy Ridge on Gabriola Island. Hosts were incredible, property was adorable and so serene with the wind rustling through the treetopsBreakfasts were delicious. The place was very comfortable and had everything we would ever need - BBQ, blankets, heater outside, snacks. Just perfect! Close to the ferry also

Wonderful stay

A quaint place to stay in a beautiful setting. Hosts were very quick to respond in booking process, extremely hospitable providing all sorts of extra information about what to do/where to eat. They provided wonderful little extras throughout our stay and made us very delicious breakfasts. We hope to be back!
