"Everything about this spot was wonderful! The views are spectacular, we felt like we were living in a postcard. The house was so clean and cozy. Giselle was so easy to communicate with - the driving instructions were very complete, and she checked in during our stay. There was even a bottle of port and some cookies when we arrived. 10/10!!"

The property is a cat sanctuary as well, though they all remain outside and are extremely friendly! We woke up to the sounds of bells on goats/cows every morning roaming in the mountains. "This is an unbelievable place. We have stayed in lots of different places across the world but you would do well to find a more relaxing, beautiful and unique place. The breakfasts were lovely, overlooking the valley. We loved the pool area too. The accomodation itself was spacious and had everything you needed. A special shout out to the staff too who make this such a special place. Definitely make sure you order a picnic too! Thank you for a great stay"

"This is an excellent hotel on an outstanding property. With a few tweaks, it would be a top shelf resort in Duoro Valley—highlights: reception—informative, gracious, helpful & delish welcome drinks, the food, an incredible chef, we loved the included breakfast with options to add on dishes, rooms—ours was very well equipped, comfortable with a private terrace and semi private pool (Amarela section) There are many options at different price points. The views are stunning!! We enjoyed the onsite winery tour and tasting and learned a lot about how ports are made. We would’ve explored the neighboring town, but we did not wish to leave the property! Dinners were lively & delish. Only downside—service was up & down. Some servers were excellent while others were indifferent Apart from this (easily addressable) issue, the place is utterly charming and serene!!!"
