Situated in Old Funchal. Beautiful, spacious apartment with washing machine. Located on street with a number of restaurants so the noise is loud well into the night. The apartment can get very hot and stuffy. No air conditioning nor were there any fans provided.

Apartment was spacious and clean. Location was excellent. Only minor issue was that, because location was so close to streets and restaurants, it was quite noisy late into the night. But I would put up with that to enjoy how central it was and the amenities.

Third time in Funchal Old Town and would highly recommend as the place to stay in Madeira.

Could not fault this property and would recommend it to anyone who ask. The whole experiences have been the best holidays we have ever had.

This a large, very clean suite. The kitchen is well stocked with whatever you might need to cook. This apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator and the stairs are quite steep. The bedrooms are over the downstair restaurant and it is quite noisy into the late evening.

Spacious with all necessary dishes and cooking equipment. Very nice to have the added amenity of the washer. Just remember to bring your own laundry detergent and dish soap

Great location

Walking distance to everything we did. Clean and comfortable. Beds could be updated with better mattresses but besides that it had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Other reviews correct on noise level but ear plugs did the trick! Totally worth it for the location!

Great location

Had the whole place to myself, absolutely loved it. Great location for everything i wanted to explore, close to the beach & great restaurants. Clean place, comfy beds, the apartment had everything i needed. If u want a quiet night sleep, wont recommend a room on the street side. I personally really enjoyed the sound of music, laughter & hustle. But its loud so be conscious of that.

Awesome location but bring your ear plugs!

You could not be more central with this apartment and it is really spacious with big rooms and lounge / kitchen area. With the main pedestrianised street of the old town outside be warned it can get a bit noisy late into the night but nothing a pair of ear plugs can’t deal with. Our Madeira were super responsive as well.

Das Appartment war alles in Ordnung, sehr ordentlich, gute Ausstattung, super Kontakt, aber über den Gaststätten und in der Nähe zu den Hotspots ist es natürlich abends und nachts sehr laut. Wenn man selber nur unterwegs ist, ist das natürlich egal.

Great spot in a central location

Overall it is a good place to stay. It’s spacious and the two bedrooms were more than enough room for my friend and I to be comfortable. Probably could sleep up to 4 comfortably if it was two couples. The location is great for being central in downtown Funchal, but the only con is its very loud basically all times of the day. It’s on a busy restaurant street so it’s loud until late at night and then very early in the morning they are setting up for the next day. The bedrooms are right above a very busy spot so it’s hard to sleep in past 6 or 7am.

Taberna apartments

Very spacious and clean. Have everything you may need for anyone to stay. Close to everywhere. Very friendly staff, great communication . We loved every minute. From previous reviews we knew that might be noisy till late night. However, from the location of apartment it is expected. Great cocktail bar just outside apartment and many places to eat. Only thing i wantednto advice with is to top up welcome basket with tea coffee and sugar, maybe just enough for people to have a cuppa after long journey. In general great place which we will recommend to others and who knows be back in future. Thank you.

Within Steps of Everything!

This apartment is literarily within half a block of the shore promenade, city center shopping, cable car station and is located in one of the most popular old town streets lined with restaurants. Very quaint and lively area. The apartment itself is located in an old building but is very modern inside with a full kitchen, living and dining areas, nice bathroom and two bedrooms with French balconies. The rental office was very responsive and made the whole process easy and convenient. Heads up staying in Funchal. It is very hilly which made this apartment especially nice since it is probably in the only flat area of town. If you want to meander the city buses are convenient, cheap and a couple of blocks from the aprtment.
