Ritz Carlton has the best trained staff, I think the staff at Fukuoka went above and beyond the Ritz standard.
A very pleasant young man, Lennon, checked me in, efficient and friendly, a big friendly smile.
A big shout out to "Yuki" San, the concierge, he was able to think outside of the request and gave different options to explore, without overwhelming the decision.
A most pleasant stay, will come back for the staff.

As an English-speaking solo traveler visiting Japan for the first time, I had a phenomenal experience at this hotel! The staff were so warm and welcoming, and they really went out of their way to make sure I understood everything and that all my questions were answered and needs were met.
I stayed here in October as part of my 42nd birthday getaway, and I absolutely loved the amenities. The night lounge and evening s’mores were such nice touches. The hotel was also very family-friendly, and my...

Great hotel! Walking distance to shopping, subway, Hakata station. 7-11 right across the street. It was the largest room we had at the end of the trip for our family of 4. There was a lot of room for all of us to lay out our luggage and then some. They did not charge us for having too many people either.

Room a little small, but comfortable and in a wonderful location. Close to Hakata station and Canal City…walkable. Staff was superb and the public bath and outdoor hot spring was so relaxing after walking a lot daily.

Loved this place. A little trip to a quieter part of Japan. The hotel worked very very hard to accommodate gluten free meals for my mother even after I had forgotten to tell them ahead of time. They were very sweet to help my mom experience traditional Japanese food, gluten free. The canals were lovely to tour as well.

Fukuoka, a vibrant city on Japan's northern shore, is not just a hub of culture and cuisine, but also an emerging gem for travelers seeking relaxation and wellness. Begin your journey at the soothing Namiha no Yu, a seaside hot spring offering breathtaking views of the ocean while you soak in mineral-rich waters. After your dip, indulge in a traditional kaiseki meal at a local ryokan, where each dish is a work of art, beautifully presented and crafted from seasonal ingredients. For a unique experience, visit the Ohori Park, where a leisurely stroll around the picturesque pond can be followed by a tranquil afternoon at a nearby spa, offering treatments that blend modern techniques with ancient Japanese healing practices. Don't miss the chance to explore the bustling Hakata district, famous for its ramen shops and lively street food scene, where you can recharge after a day of pampering. For accommodations, consider staying in the Tenjin area, where upscale hotels with full-service spas are within walking distance of shopping and dining, ensuring your family enjoys both luxury and convenience. Here, attentive staff cater to your every need, making for a truly memorable stay.
