Top Fox Valley Hotel Reviews

Unsliven Bridge Farm - sleeps 15 guests in 7 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent

"We booked this property to celebrate my daughter’s 18th with our family. The cottage is beautiful and has lots of space so you can be together or have some quieter time as you wish. The games room is great to have and lots of table tennis was played. And the hot tub is relatively private and very clean. The owners were very helpful when we needed to rearrange some beds on arrival. They also provided a great recommendation for Sunday lunch. Area has everything you need - supermarkets not too far and a lovely walk around the reservoir on your doorstep. Overall we had a very enjoyable weekend and would happily recommend."

Mercure Barnsley Tankersley

8/10 Good

"Housekeeping Excellence: The housekeeping team delivered outstanding service with friendly, reliable staff who arrived promptly for each cleaning session. Helpful Team Members: Staff proved attentive and informative, readily providing guidance whenever assistance was required. Breakfast Offerings: While breakfast quality was satisfactory, we encountered some disappointments—certain items my son preferred, such as chocolate spread, weren't restocked the following morning, and jam selections were depleted. Convenient Parking: The parking facilities were straightforward to access and navigate. Overall Impression: Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, with my children delighting in the swimming pool. The sauna and steam room amenities were available, though admittedly compact in size. Though I didn't have the opportunity to experience the spa services, they appeared exceptional, featuring premium products with delightful aromas. We appreciate your hospitality!"

Hartcliffe Retreat - Relaxing Holiday Cottage on the Edge of Peak District

8/10 Good

"We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was lovely and warm when we arrived (in the cold and wind during October) and the welcome pack was appreciated. The host was very attentive and responded promptly to any queries we had. The cottage itself was in a good location with walks and country pubs a short drive away. We also used the well-equipped kitchen to cook evening meals. We enjoyed our stay."

Unsliven Bridge Barn - sleeps 7 guests in 3 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent

"We have visited several cottages but this break was for two of us so Unsliven Barn was our choice. It’s so welcoming with everything you need and so many walks for us to enjoy with our vizsla. He will be glad to go home for a break! I can highly recommend any of the cottages, they are all first class in every aspect. We will be back and hopefully to Weavers next time. Thankyou for being perfect hosts."

The Old Mill Summary:

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed at the Old Mill VRBO property for a week in August and were very happy with the accommodations. The home was clean and in a nice quiet area. It was a very nice neighborhood and a short walking distance to a few pubs, restaurant, food Co Op and bakery. The property has a reserved parking space. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and enjoyed meeting a few of the neighbors walking their dogs. Each couple enjoyed a private bedroom and bathroom. The extra toilet on the first floor was an added bonus. It was a great area to stay in while we were in town to attend a family wedding and explore the beautiful area.Ben, the host was great to work with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others."
