The Neighborhood:

Welcome to one of America's last true beach towns! This fun, laid back area is perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. A mecca for great views, great food, and some great surf. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Folly River, you will enjoy 6 miles wide of beaches, surfing, kayaking, boating, and endless sunset views. Beautiful Morris Island is a great spot to take in the sea life and panoramic views. Take a stroll down Center Street in Downtown Folly, which boasts tons of eclectic bars and restaurants that are fun for the whole family.



Getting Around:

Folly is very easy to navigate on foot, by bike, or by car! This property is just a short walk to the public beach access. On the way to the beach make sure to stop by Bert's market to load up on beach snacks, or get an Orange Crush from Rita's Seaside Grille. If you ever have your fill of the beach life, Historic Downtown Charleston is just a 20 minute drive away!

Neighborhood quiet hours are from 10pm-10am. If violated the city will issue a $1047 fine. Guests are also responsible for following the City of Folly's Ordinance rules.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was perfect for the two of us. It was a very quick walk to the beach and the views out the back onto the marsh were beautiful. We have no complaints and would recommend staying here.

Enjoyed our stay!

Sol Searcher is comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed, but we didn’t cook a lot. The outdoor spaces are inviting; especially like the upper deck! The location also helped us have an enjoyable visit.

Some of the best memories made here

Our family enjoyed all that this place had to offer. The crabs in the back by the dock were so cool & having the beach across the street we could have spent ohr whole vacation just around the house & had the best vacation. We also toured Charleston. Highly recommended 💕

Great getaway!

We needed a brief break from our day-to-day grind. Folly beach is just close enough (and just far away enough) for us to get just that. The house is great. Very comfortable and in a superb location. Hope to stay here again.

Needed Getaway!

The house was as described, clean and everything we needed for our stay. We cooked in two out of our three nights and the kitchen was equipped with everything necessary. We had a misunderstanding about requesting a pack and play but the property manager had one delivered within the hour. Be sure to request any baby necessities! Overall, our stay was lovely. The location was perfect - so close to the beach and gorgeous marsh sunsets. We will be back!

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay here! Very comfortable accommodations (except maybe the trundle bed- not so comfy, squeaky 😄) with everything we needed! Location is lovely and quiet with gorgeous marsh views. House is very clean and charming. Definitely recommend and would love to stay again! Only suggestion would be some more hooks inside and out for towels, bathing suits. Thanks so very much for sharing your lovely home with us!

Cute cottage

This was a small but nicely appointed house, clean and functional. 1 bathroom is always a challenge, though there is a half bath in the laundry room. Plenty of outdoor spaces and a beautiful view of the marsh and sunsets. Our dog also had plenty of yard to play ball.

Great location and wonderful views. The house is small but ok for 4 people. The half bath is in the laundry room off the screened in porch which is a bit inconvenient. Plenty of utensils, plates, and pots & pans. Beds were comfortable. The house and porch could use a good cleaning. Overall a good place to stay.

February at Folly

I stayed a couple of weeks in February and it was just great for what I wanted. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star and not 5 is that the inside shower did not wor when we checked it. Close to the beach so I could walk our dog every day, at the location I wanted. Clean and fresh, a bit funky, and cozy at the same time. Really nice view from the upper deck, loads of space to work in the kitchen which was nice. Had one issue with the indoor shower not working and trash removal but that was taken care of right away. The floors are a bit sloped, and bedrooms/bath are small but it’s a great place to be.

Quaint house, out back was pretty and close to beach. House had everything we needed but could use a can opener and giving us more than 1 dishwasher pod would have been nice. Frig needs to be leveled! But overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

Perfect Locatoon!

We had an amazing month long stay in our Twin Palms rental! The porch and upper deck were two favorite spots to hang out! It was perfect to be a 2 min walk from the beach and be just a few min to town by drive. The house offered some of the best views on Folly as you were able to take advantage of the marsh. We love Folly

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly like the listing. Cute. Clean. Great location! We enjoyed being on the marsh. We caught a big blue crab in the crab trap! The bathroom sink needs to be fixed - super slow draining. And we bought ant bait traps because there were random ants in the kitchen from the first day we arrived. We told the property management company about the broken dock and they came out and fixed that! Easy communication. We would love to come back!

Best view!

We had a great time at this property. The house had everything we needed. It was on the small side but the view and all the outdoor spaces make up for it. We loved the screen porch and the proximity to the beach. Above all we loved the amazing view of the marsh, it was captivating. The only thing i would mention is that the half bathroom is located off the screen porch, good if you like a lot of privacy. Also the pier needs some repairs to be safely used at our visit in October 2023. I don’t say this often but I would love to stay here again. It was a special house and we are already planning our next visit.

Perfection!

We LOVED staying at Sol Searcher. The location was perfect - literally steps from the beach and only a short drive to downtown Charleston. Our days started with sunrise beach walks and ended with epic backyard sunsets over the marsh with sundowners in hand. When you're not at the beautiful beach, there is plenty of outdoor living at the house with a back patio and fire pit, screened porch and a fabulous roof deck. You can even kayak right from your very own dock! The inside is also comfortable and stylish, with plenty of space to lounge and beachy, cheerful décor throughout.
