Check in process stressful because I couldn’t get the app to open. When I contacted the host she said she wasn’t sure if she could get anyone to meet us at the property. Not helpful. Was able to load app and get in. Wish she would have warned us about the taxi strike as well. The property itself is fine, I think it’s 50 stairs or so, if you have anyone who can’t manage them. When you get into the property there are another 20 or so stairs to the upper bedroom, and one of our party hit his head on the very low roof at the top of the stairs. No sign there. Overall decent place in good location other than getting a taxi. One shower wasn’t draining and let the owner know and she told me the pipes are old. I emphasize that it wasn’t draining and she sent someone who fixed it. Washing machine leaked water all over the floor.Biggest issue is on our first night we went for dinner and upon return the key didn’t work. We attempted to contact owner for well over an hour with no response. 2 of our party badly needed to use the bathroom . Went to the pub on the corner and they refused to let them use the bathroom despite my offering to pay. We knocked on doors in the apartment complex out of emergency and some people downstairs let them use their bathroom, thankfully. Oh, the owner never did talk to me personally, and said we need to bring multiple keys with us. If you’re looking for customer care, guidance and recommendations this is not for you.
