「The hotel is in a great location in Hastings Old Town close to shops and restaurants. The room was spacious, v. comfortable and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful, including Porters next door (good wine bar/restaurant associated with the hotel). It’s a remote check in/check out but we were sent clear instructions ahead of the booking with a contact host to call when we arrived. Breakfast is also really good with full, vegetarian, and non vegan options. Can’t fault our stay at all,...

「This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area」

「The Relais Cooden Beach hotel was excellent in all respects, the staff were all superb and gave over and above what one would normally expect. One small problem was with the walk in shower - although it had full grab rails around the shower valve there were no support rails between the door and the valve position, probably 2.5 m distance and my disabled husband did not feel it was safe to traverse this distance with no support as he walks with 2 sticks, no problem if in a wheel chair but to walk...
