「I loved this quaint little place. We didn't arrive until after dark, but the owner was on the phone guiding us to the property. When I left the key code in the room while unloading the car, we called her again and she helped us unlocked the door. My only complaint would be lack of ventilation in the bathroom, but the Fairfield Inn and suites the night before also lacked it. Would stay again.」
「The room was clean and comfortable. It is located in a quiet area with only a 10 minute drive to the area. The pool was really nice. We stayed for a week and the card in the room said we would get room service halfway through our stay if we wanted it. We put the card out to service the room but they didn’t do it. 「Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style.」

「Great place near the ocean! Friendly staff, clean and updated room, good AC and shower pressure. Comfy king bed. No in room safe. Breakfast was fine: make your own waffles and other quick fare. Nice gazebo on site to look at the ocean. Great pool, very clean but no baby pool. All in all, I’m glad we chose this place to stay for 4 nights. Early check in can be bought for $50.」
