    La Baita Valfredda is a refuge immersed in one of the most evocative corners of Val del Biois, in the heart of the splendid Valfredda, also nicknamed by tourists "The Valley of Horses".

    Here the mountain still preserves its most authentic soul: vast alpine pastures, silent forests and Dolomitic panoramas that change color with the passing of the seasons.



    The hut is part of a small and charming complex of ancient alpine huts, a testament to the valley's pastoral tradition. First and foremost is the famous Flora Alpina Refuge, highly appreciated for its typical cuisine and abundant breakfasts with a view of the Dolomites.

    It is the ideal place for those who wish to slow down, breathe pure air and experience the mountains away from the most crowded tourism, while still remaining a short distance from Falcade and the San Pellegrino Ski Area.



    The position is particularly appreciated by sports enthusiasts, hiking lovers and nature lovers: splendid panoramic walks depart from here.



    To preserve the authenticity of Valfredda, the hut maintains some typical characteristics of mountain dwellings:



    • Access: the last stretch is on a silvopastoral road that can be accessed with a single car suitable for traveling on an unpaved road, and a special permit provided by the agency itself. Alternatively, the hut is reachable with a pleasant and flat walk of about 15 minutes (900 m) from the parking lot.



    • House structure: the hut is developed on three levels, furnished in typical traditional style with natural wood. The first two include a spacious living room with sofa and kitchen with electric cooktop powered exclusively by the generator, and the sleeping area in the attic with floor mattresses without slats. Everything is heated by a large fireplace and wood stove.

    On the lower floor, detached from the upper one, there are the bathroom, shower and relaxation area (with sofa bed), all always heated by a typical wood stove (it should therefore be noted that to access the bathroom it is necessary to exit the hut).



    • Energy: electricity comes mainly from photovoltaic panels, sufficient to light the environment and charge cell phones, and the generator is simple to use, providing support for cooking, turning on the hair dryer or other appliances.



    This allows for an authentic and conscious stay, different from the experience of a traditional hotel and perfectly in line with the spirit of the mountains.

    Outside there is also a barbecue, ideal for evening grills after a day of trekking among the alpine pastures.

    When evening falls on the valley, silence becomes absolute and the sky fills with stars: on clear nights it is possible to clearly admire the Milky Way, an increasingly rare natural spectacle.

    A stay here is much more than a simple vacation: it is an authentic mountain experience.
